This is my rendition of the Rhodes piano of "Josie", from Steely Dan, originally recorded at the album "Aja" from 1976-7. Recorded in a Kurzweil Sp-5-8 I do not own the rights of this song.

Hypnotic on two levels: watching the solid piano playing, and then wondering how they composed it. Enjoy all your Steely Dan stuff.

Ok, first of all, your slippers rock. Second, your cover is awesome!!! I love Steely Dan. Would still love to see "Deacon Blues" whenever you get around to it. :)

The chorus section is so good, a great study on how to play keys in a band and not solo and you play it so smoothly too ;)

Thanks. You the only one on yt that knows the keyboard parts without playing the words which really make it sound silly.

Thanks! There is a Rhodes preset in the Kurzweil SP 5-8 named "Fagen Phaser." It comes pretty close to what Fagen used a lot.
