I was blown away as a nurse she didn't have knowledge of esophageal strictures or narrowing of esophagus. She's ignorant of a crucial diagnosis. I don't want people like here doing my anesthesia!

Same. As another advanced practice provider, I was horrified by Annemarie’s lack of basic medical knowledge. This is a subject matter she absolutely should be versed in. Coupled with her staunched arrogance to push onward and speak openly about someone’s personal medical diagnosis on camera! Not only was her lack of basic medical knowledge upsetting, her behavior was also incredibly unprofessional and lacked any empathy that is critical in this profession. This degrades those of us who have worked so hard to be part of the practicing medical community. Not to mention that it only deepens societal mistrust in the medical community. And, rightfully so. What also shocked me is that she is a CRNA and doubled down on claiming that this was not a real diagnosis. Wow. Like, what?!! Not real?! My mouth literally dropped open. I was mortified. …. And embarrassed for Annemarie. I think Dr Nicole Martin responded to this appropriately and as she should. With much needed sensitivity and professionalism.
