Neither is wrong. Starter deck has a bunch of low attack and defense cards, and the combos is pretty basic, which is the point of a starter deck. Its like the starter deck in the video games back then too.

@@IsaacSperrow I like the decks because it teaches you and your friend with the scripted duel to try and get you both to play the game but after that all you'll have is a bunch of random stuff even for the casual plays (which is what the product is trying to teach about and is it's target audience) and a Zeus, not particularly a lot if you want to upgrade out of that and try something new, so I think it's flawed 'cause of that. Still cool that they did that, hoping they do it more but with decks that can do more besides the scripted duel and can function on their own. Just my thoughts about it

My biggest complaint is that people are going to buy it, try the game, then go 0-X at a locals, before dropping the game. I know it needed to be simple decks to teach people, but I think it also needed to have at least a liiiitle bite to it. People hate losing, and these decks are useless.

@@RedTheWeeb They're already ignoring a mechanic of the game because you didn't shuffle your deck at the beginning of the duel. They could also just put all the search targets in the practice duel instead of the search cards. Which would, in theory at least, give people an idea about what they want to search when they start doing duels without the script. "Oh, I know this card started that combo, so I pick it, right?" Its not perfect, but its better than refusing to prepare people for what yugioh is actually like.

I think the 2-player starter set is great, but it sounds like you guys don't exactly know how it works. You can play a regular duel with them like here, but normally you're meant to play a scripted duel with them while reading a booklet to help teach the various mechanics, one for Synchros, one for Xyzs.
