​@@bigred212 maxx c is so powerful it is the single most played card in master duel and the ocg (the two formats where it's legal). The rest of the stuff you mentioned is objectively worse than pot of greed. Jar of greed is a trap and therefore slow. It also only draws one card. Built in archetypal draw effects are less powerful because they aren't generic. There's a massive difference between swordsoul going "draw 1" mid combo and anyone slapping down a draw 2 card at any point in their turn. Pot of greed says any deck can get a free +1. No setup needed, no restrictions. That effect is so powerful we have multiple nerfed versions of it right now, one of which is limited in the tcg due to how insanely powerful it is. Pot of greed absolutely should be banned, there's no debate about it.

One of the broke things my household did is when we would run out of money we would scour every corner of the house, from between the couches to behind bookshelves to looking in old clothes pockets to see if there were any coins we could find that would help us get through the middle to end of the month. The problem with this is if you do it two times in a row, you will eventually filp the whole house upside down and still find nothing 😂. Good times!

How about this for a rule. The ban from the loser is for both players. I feel like this will just end up being one will ban a card and the other one will probably ban the same card. Or the loser could put a limit on a curtain card for both players

yeah but the idea is for the loser to have an advantage against the other. You don't really benefit much in the early stages if this series if the cards are banned for both

It's going to take better effect later when they start using different cards from the future packs, it's gonna be slow the first few episodes but more combos options will be opened up later and then they will have to focus there combo cards, especially since they'll eventually have to sacrifice old cards for new ones

@Nokachi I guess I just simply disagree, I think the rules rn are good since they'll eventually be banning there own cards along with what there opponent does, if you add more to it than it'll be more stuff they'll have to keep up with when it comes to remembering what cards they use, it's only episode 2 and we've seen how the speed changes fast, let alone pot of greed is just op so this was inevitable even by your rules, if both have the same banned card list it's gonna end up just being normal yugioh and the ban decisions won't actually make a difference

Suggestion that could make things a bit more interesting. If one of you loses 3-0, you can ban 2 cards from your opponent, and if you lose 3-1, you can ban 1 and limit 1.That way if you're sweeping the floor with Deion, you could make a gamble and intentionally throw a game to save a card you know he's going to ban. But then again, he could come back and win the whole thing. Could be fun though!

So the bans or limits need to apply equally. Trading bans on the same power cards is gonna get old real fast. Others have suggested that, instead of an immediate ban, the card gets limited to 1 for both players first. Then if you or Deion still want it gone, a second targeting will result in the card being permanently banned for the rest of the series. Btw, the 40 card deck size min/max feels a little arbitrary. I'm not sure that it's a necessary or even a good rule here. But either way it's your series so experiment & have fun! Keep up the good work guys!

I play Pot of Greed! Which allows me to draw 2 cards. Then I play another Pot of Greed! Which allows me to draw 2 cards. And to get more cards I need I play Pot of Greed! Which allows me to draw 2 cards. Then I activate the effect of Magician of Faith which will let me get a spell card from the graveyard back to my hand! And I choose Pot of Greed!
