I like to PvP, and PvE. Usually wearing an Exo Suit nowadays. Unlocking it is easy with no cheats needed anymore, and usually on a server, official or unofficial, I'm not fussed. Single Player is great though, certainly with a guide for any platform be it xbox, ps4, ps5, pc, it's great. Sometimes play MTS, and usually post patch/update. But a survival game needs some community news and that's what I do, giving you the latest on events, small tribes, maybe even fast flyers and primitive plus, usually covering all maps from Island to Genesis Part 2. And one day. ARK 2!

@@TheChampTrev If you use a net gun + magnifying glass (or whatever modded spyglass you may have) and a decent damage weapon you should be able to have the dino at low health. As long as your able to provide the food and you get it down to like 50 hp it shouldn't take much damage. You could probably get away with like 2k health on a trike or something. What looks to be more important is a high food stat that's filled up before you get it. It seemed to lose 100 a second which is a lot. If you can get something with 10k food then that would probably be the best

For those who have Super Mutated Creatures (254 points in all stats), Use Brontos when Taming Rhynios. From tests i did, Brontos have the chance to past down more stats to the Rhynio if you get all the cravings. When i was testing with a Bronto that had 254 points in all stats, after getting all 5 cravings it asked for, The baby Rhynio had 5 stats that had 254 points. This happened twice. AA Brachiosaurus & Megachelon, despite having more drag than bronto only gave two stats 254 points. The Last Giga test i did only gave 4 stats 254 points. Hope this helps

Was really hoping to see these guys on Fjordur. If these guys can be taken into boss fights (im assuming not), they would be pretty solid i imagine against the Crystal Wyvern Queen and other bosses where flyers are allowed. Desert Titan would also be a bit less painful. At any rate, nice to see a new interesting creature and it also seems ever since Ark Addtions got big, Wildcard has had nothing but complicated passive tames

I’m really surprised it got so many of its suggested abilities. Still can’t believe it can actually pick up rexes. Been testing it out and it’s been pretty fun. I do think it’s a bit too op and I’m almost certainly expecting it to be nerfed in a coming patch, but for now so far so good. I actually think the reception this will receive by the community has the chance to change the outcome of future creature votes since it kinda tells us nothings off the table.

I think it's actually a good thing these things aren't breedable. The ones you tame normally already look like they'll be a menace in PvP, can you imagine what a tribe could do to a server with one that has a few good mutations?

Good point, if they were breedable I think they should be nerfed a bit like a dog and wolf where a dog's weaker and usually less capable. They're also parasitic though so I don't know how they'd breed without sacrificing either mate

NOTE: it can latch to walls (cant move) / It can Grab Reapers (even queens), crabs, rock drakes and basilisk (even when they are buried!) / also you can use weapons while riding it. Hope this Helped ;)

Just wanted to point out the "taunt smaller to medium creatures" line. You can scare a rex and smaller. basically everything u can pick up. plus all draconic creatures. tested wyverns, rock drakes, and magmasaurs. and can be scared. these things make getting eggs too easy

@@the1sonder884 well offensive wise, from videos ive seen, it isnt that strong. All ranged attacks are atm fixed dmg. 75 dmg for needles and 150 for missiles and bomb does small dot. This creature also seems to offer very little to PvE, unless it can actually pick up crafting stations and foundations.

idk how i feel about this dino. On it's own, I love it. I think it's very cool. But it kinda does too much for me. Also, it's on the island so if a new player goes in and sees that it might be too much. I like how simplistic the island is.

FYI, you don't need to reduce their health to below 100 hp. I've seen people say 10% and 50%, but every example I have seen had more than 100hp remaining.

I think it would be cool if they could breed but it costs a pheromone orb ,the male, and a tame. The female kills the male then impregnates the tame or the male. I say this for balance sake, its pretty useful.

People always complain about how broken PVP is and how it's basically unfixable but then they just add more broken creatures to the game like the shadowmane not caring about balance whatsoever. These things are amazing! You can grab anything up to the size of a diplo so far I’ve seen. You can also shoot off them live griffins! I made a small area to box off any rexes I wanted to tame and since my base it by carno island (hidden lake) I just bring rexes there!

I was really hoping it would drop organic poly like a mantis, karkinos and corrupted creatures. Every other story map has a semi efficient way of gathering organic poly. What we have to do on the island is fly all the way over to the icebergs to kill some penguins. As someone in the trees of the redwoods, it's a bit of a parp.

You could always bring karkinos from other maps to kill on the island tame the lowest lvl you can find and clone it use moschop to harvest

These where my sentiments of how borked the game progression for the Island is, until I tamed a naughty seagull, used the shiny fish it caches to tame some hesperonis and breed them. No freezing to death, no trying to get pelt from creatures i couldnt fight because i had no fur, no murder whales. Taming the Ichthyornis has the bonus benefit of being able to fast tame the rare otters with the shiny fish it catches before you have access to potent kibbles. Taming and breeding Hesperonis gives you the chance to get golden eggs, extraordinary kibble ingredient before you have a Yuty egg farm, on top of harvesting them for poly. True, this is a grind compared to killing mantis or chainsawing Fjordur beehives, but organic poly should only be for upgrading your Ghillie on this map, fabricated poly is the 'element' of The Island map. The toxic cave with all the crittters for harvesting cp with a Beezle is put there to nudge you into making hard poly a game plan.

Since you can't breed them and they are pretty much shit lvl it is kinda useless in PVE. Just a utility creature to tame more useful ones but it's also makes no sense since saddle unlocks at lvl90

A couple things you missed 1) megatheriums aggro to you 2) you can shoot off the back of it 3) you cannot be dismounted by thylas, purlovias, microraptors or kapros. (Take this with a grain of salt, I did a huge walkthrough of the swamp and redwoods and had no problems but I might’ve just not run across one of these creatures) 4) you are still affected by cnideria, eels idk I couldn’t find any

Known exploits: Exploit #1: You are immune to turrets that aren't targeted to wild dinos if you carry a big wild dino and you can tek turret the enemy tower down. Exploit #2: You can place floating structures: pick up a cliff plat or any pickable structure, crio the insect while holding it in the air, relog or restart server, the structure will be floating there. Exploit #3: Meshing with floating structures: you can use exploit #2 to place a TP inside the mesh, relog or restart server and TP into it, you will be inside the mesh. You're welcome :)

Not certain you will see this, but look into the drag weight of the sacrificial tame for higher level baby bugs......it seems related to that, and of course, full filling all cravings while incubating. 😉

@@RugaQwarrcall My brother in christ, do you not understand what it takes to get even a decent level rhynio. First you have to find a rhynio with at least the level you are looking for. Then you have to get its health down below 10% without killing it. Then you have to get it to impregnate a host that also has at least the level you are looking for. Then, assuming you only found a host and rhynio with relatively low levels, you then have to cater to every single craving the host has which, even just going off of what Syntac has encountered, can range from anything from element, absorbent substrate, charchar and/or giga eggs, and even golden hespi eggs. So unless you have collected at least one of every single item in the game, and are an absolute god at taming, you are probably only going to get a pretty low level, which is only going to be barely worth a damn. So as far as I am concerned, it is perfect just as it is.
