(otherwise known as "Let's make this game as fast as YuGiOh") There has been a lot of design and balance issues in that game, but I'd kill for a full power Sherry or Gill vs what is top tier in the game now. I imagine it is like you guys and Siege Rhino. Broken at the time but still somewhat respectable, vs unfun uninteractive nonsense. I don't play Magic, but hearing what the formats are like, it sounds somewhat similar (though with less power-creep than FoW)

I got into MTG when Dragons of Takir came out. I saw everyone at my LGS cry when they saw him. I didn't know what was going on until a year later but I never really got into standard so I never suffered like all the others did. I missed out my time with the Rhino and since I like modern more I made a Siege Rhino deck and though it doesn't win all the time I love that card. I played the deck competitively and got 3rd place once. It actually makes my group cry when they see him and I love it! Is this what people call nostalgia?

Hey, I was a player back in college. I'm getting back into it now. I was in college around 2014. Khan's was the first set I really got into. Before that I had some cards but wasn't really into it. My play group was mainly a modern and EDH group, but we did play what we called "unlimited"... a format with no bans, basically legacy or paper vintage, but without a lot of the cards you usually see in that format because alpha was printed before we were all born. You just needed to have the card. Anyway, I remember a defining part of that era was Urza tron. A video on Urza tron would be cool.

Memories, I was introduced to MTG when KTK was the newest set, just before Fate Reforged. "The Menace" is the perfect description for it.
