Rusty, you are a gold mine of simple, easily understood and useable tips/lessons that make your subscribers better guitar players. I'm sure I speak for others when I say that we greatly appreciate you, my friend. I love these tips today as I'm learning my triads all over the neck and I need a way to spice them up a bit. Hey, your chunky chord playing at the 3:50 mark gives a hint of the Cars and Eliot Easton. Good stuff. Cheers Rusty!

I started playing guitar in the 70s so those early influences definitely come out when I play. Mainly the 70s and 80s. Thanks so much Doug for all your support and for taking the time to watch my videos. Thanks again.🤛

Using the open B and E strings in this Key, looks like it gives lots of easy noodling options. I'm across the L shaped concept to find the same notes on other strings, but remembering or finding other notes on the fretboard is a bit hard, for an old fella. 😅. I'm thinking of putting a few different coloured stick-on dots on the fretboard to help me with note location. Thanks again, Rusty.
@TheWorshipGuitarChannel210 ай бұрын
You are right! Lots of options here with this concept. Confidence with the fretboard is very important though. And I know you’re working on it! Thanks for checking out the video. Talk to you soon.👍

Hope to see more lessons like these on different chord progressions. How to create melodic transitions and some cool licks on the triad chords. Plus exploring other options on how to play them. I watch these vids several times trying to absorb your valuable insights. Thank you so much!

Cool Rusty, i like the lead part, ive been playing the penatonic boxes alot lately. But adding that d sharp note on like youre doing sounds great, plus the same pattern youre doing on the E major pen box you can do on the other keys. I tried them with b major just slide down 2 frets, then go to the c sharp chord you did same pattern and for the A pen and they fit and sound great.so another lead i have in my tools of playing thanks to you Rusty.have a great day.looking forward to the next lesson

@@TheWorshipGuitarChannel2Hey Rusty, i wonder in a future video if you could do a lesson on playing guitar with drums, ive been playing guitar on and off since 1983. So 40 years and ive never really played with a drummer.i did a few times but that was 30 years ago lol but i bought a looper drum machine pedal and would love to get a lesson on just to get some help on going about playing with drums even tho i have been playing on and off for 40 years, i still feel i need help when it come to that.anyways just a suggestion for a future vid.

Rusty, thank you for sharing so much valuable advice on this unique channel. One request, if I may: can you offer any insights on what an electric player is to do to avoid stepping all over an acoustic rhythm player? I love your rhythm + fill approach, but throw a flattop into the mix and I’m struggling to fit in tastefully. Thanks again!
@TheWorshipGuitarChannel210 ай бұрын
You’re welcome Owen. It’s always good to play rhythm and lead lines in a higher register of the fretboard. This will take some planning but she can move to some higher notes and it will cut right through the mix. Thanks so much for checking out the video and I hope you have a great week.🙏
