Rhythm Heaven Fever - Wake-Up Caller

Here's the second endless game, "Wake-Up Caller." Unlike most of the rest of the game, this doesn't consist of doing something to a song, though you still have to keep a rhythm. The premise is simple: You are an alarm clock for a cuckoo clock's cuckoo bird, and you have to wait until the right moment in the dark and wake up the bird at the right time.
There's a lot of waiting to be had in this minigame, and personally, that brings it down. I can only see the clip of the bird throwing seeds into the old man's pots on the shelf for so long, and by the sixth time or so, I really just wanted to get straight to the bird telling the clock when to wake him up.
For some reason, the art style here felt decidedly American. I have to wonder who did the art for this mini-game, since the rest of the game feels quite Japanese.
By the way, it seems like I might have missed some of the word being spelled out in this game. I was off by a bit in the 6th and 10th runs through, leaving me with "OUT" on the shelf. Anybody know if I got it right, or if more will appear later on? (UPDATE: I had found out later that it is in fact "BOUTS." You'll see the correct word in "Police Call.")
In any case, next up for Rhythm Heaven is Stage 11, "Working Dough." Here we head to the third set of challenges.

mr upbeat was actually an endless game on the gba version of rhythm heaven, which was never released in english. it's not specially created for america, it existed before. also, if you look on the night of the 13th (8:19), the moon is one of the viruses that you had to stab with a fork in the gba version of rhythm heaven. :D

We use hours to divide our measurement of time, and minutes to sub-divide hours. Just like we use beats to measure time in music and we sub-divide those beats.

@@Overhazard In this game, they use the hours to represent the beats of the music. So when you wake up the bird at exact hours, like 8 o'clock, 9 o'clock, etc., you have to press A on the beat. When you wake up the bird at the half hours, 7:30, 8:30, 9:30, it's dividing the hours by ½, so you have to press A on the half of the beat. And the best example of this was the round that you had to wake the bird at 8:40. In this case, it's a swing rhythm, because you are dividing each beat by 3. And you have to press A at ⅔ of the beat, just like the ⅔ of the hour that was subdivided.

Rhythm games always get tricky when you're given a swing beat. I'm surprised the major series did this rarely to none at all. Rhythm Heaven did this prior with Lockstep 2 though.

Here's how it works: You need to time it right to stop at the right time. You must not be too early or too late. If you stop a bit early or late, you'd still pass, but the pot would grow a bud. If you stop perfectly, the pot would grow into a flower!
