Rhythm Heaven is one of the few games I wish I had experienced later in life. While I loved it to pieces as a kid (a band kid, no less) I was loving it for it's zany concepts and unique take on the concept of a rhythm game. While those aspects are still incredibly charming and help make the series stand out to this day, what went over my head when I was younger was the genius of the orchestrations in this game. This song is FANTASTIC in it's own right, not even as a music heaven track, just as a piece of music. The way the quirky, mechanical tones of lead synth in the chorus seamlessly blend over to the lighter, smoother tones of the chorus is really well done, and the chorus section itself is one of my favorite parts of any video game soundtrack. The funk riffs paired with the walking bass and high-hat heavy drum line has this really pleasant, spacy, 70s-80s vibe to it that really grabs me. Whoever was writing this piece, as well as vast majority of the rest of the soundtrack, especially the remixes, struck gold with this. And to think this was lost on me when I was younger.

My Review: Remix 9 is one of my favourite Remixes in the game. The transitions are very well done, the music is really great, and the level is fun to play. 10/10 Side note: When I first played this level, I was confused what the description meant by "Don't miss the audio cues for Space Soccer!" Then I loudly exclaimed "OH!" when I instantly dropped the ball on the switch.

Fun fact: karate man is the only game, which appears in more than two normal remixes (6, 8 and 9), while Love lizards, Love lab and Rockers only have one remix and Airboarder doesn't appear in any normal remix, because it's not a main campaign game. All other 20 games (not counting the sequels) appear in their respective early-game remix and in one of sequel remixes, depending on the theme (remix 7 is all games about a show, remix 8 have games about training and remix 9 is anything else)

I think that Remix 9 is the hardest remix; I didn’t notice the audio cue for Space Soccer for my first few attempts, a lot of the transitions threw me off in general, and I feel like I just barely got an OK after several attempts. I had a lot of trouble with Remix 3 as well, but I hadn't played it since I first beat it, so I don’t know if it would be as hard for me now. I will say that I really like the transitions from Moai Doo-Wop to Glee Club; not only are they really smooth, but they’re a clever way to ensure that you're holding when the latter section starts.
