"sampling will never die, its a part of hip hop" facts pierre

Yeah if you can clear them
@AlcoVoz Жыл бұрын
Sampling is also a big part of electronic music. especially like the drum&bass and the jungle/garage stuff from the early to mid 90s. hip hop is very much electronic music in a lot of ways. Alot of the hip hop producers in the mid 80s, like Marley Marl for example, were only working with drum machines and synths for bass lines and melodies.

This is crazy. At his age, I was in the "boom bap" beatmaking. Hundreds of beats made probably. But this generation brings something totally new to sampling. At first, I was saying to myself "what is he doing? it's a mess!", then it became clearer and clearer and the obvious sample vanished into something different. That's creative, intelligent and probably the consequence of a totally different approach to beatmaking. Great. Thank you.

Well producers like Pierre have thousands of midi drum tracks that they already made before hand, So nowadays for them to make a beat they can just drag and drop a bounce that works. I know he still made the beat but it's like he did the brunt of the work beforehand. These internet producers take entire days where they just focus on making hi hat loops, another where they are designing drum kicks, ect. That's what they have to do nowadays to get the fast results that labels want now. I usually lay all my drums down on a controller, So I don't produce like this but I know it's way faster than trying to make a new bounce for every song.
