the pocket is very, very, very, important.Which is why all musicians should come ready to play in the pocket at all times and not depend so heavily on the drummer... this way no musician has to feel handicaped by less talented musicians. For what I hear ....Aaron nails it. Great drummer

Yeah, I was actually more impressed by his "accompaniment", than the start of the show :-) He's got some ear, if he only plays by ear. His technique and choice of passing tones, is every bit as hip as Anthony Jackson's and John Patitucci(who are definitely "readers"). I think he may be the Ken Friend guy (from VA), that plays with Jamal on another KZbin video. Sounds a lot like it :-)
