I like how you incorporate the followers perspective as well, not many instructional videos do this!

Thanks, TheCoocy! We are working hard to make sure that both the lead and follow play equally active roles in making a dance go smoothly.

This is so helpful! I've been having trouble incorporating swivels into my dancing because I always feel like the lead yanks me around afterward. Thanks for the tips on making things flow smoother!

Wow, y’all’s flow is on point! And damn Sarah’s swivels are fo’swizzle.

Very nice, all teachers should incorporate that from the beginning.

Loved those examples. The amount of times I have been lead a swing out, I do swivels, then get yanked into an un-flowy change of places, I was questioning if I was wrong to do a swivel. This was nice to confirm that it was not all my fault.

Claire Boteler it’s an awesome habit to be questioning things all the time! This habit has helped us continually improve even though we’ve been dancing for over 25+ years. And most importantly, it’s never always your fault, it’s a partner dance and responsibility for the good and the bad need to be equally shared. Sarah and I work with a concept called the more mature dancer, which means while you can’t always control what your partner does, you can control your reaction to it, and when you play the role of the more mature dancer, it means you’re focusing on your reaction to what your partner does, and using your advanced skills, to redirect the dance into a pleasant direction. Then both parties get to enjoy the dance at a maximum. Dax

As I heard about flow first, I surprised by what I know in dancing. I was doing the same stuff with other guys but in videos, the other guys were better looking than me. so I found the flowing and I started to practice flow and posture. And this video has another effect on me on how to link two moves consecutively.

So happy implementing flow has helped your dancing!

Now that you've seen the video we would love to know: Have you thought of this concept before? Do you label it something different? Go out social dancing and observe your own flows and let us know how it goes! Feel free to leave us any questions.

Oh, such greats advices! For a long time we felt that there was something wrong with our pass by at certain moments... and this explains a lot. Thank you very very much! Cheers from Chile

It's great to hear that this information is helping! This pass by issue is very common, but once you spot the issue, it becomes so clear on how to flow more efficiently into it.

I love your videos on general tips. I dance salsa and bachata.. and would love to hear about your experience as a responder and how to lean on to the discomfort that sometimes arises when being one... also, I would love a video on how to increase body awareness ❤ thank you!

Great advice, I'm very much the beginner in Swing. I want to know how you both get "flowiness" and when you need it traction or "gripiness" with your shoes. Do great shoes help enable flow or is your dance experience the secret?

Can you share additional infinite flow combinations?
@rhythmjuice5 жыл бұрын
Kyle Dennis When you say infinite flow combinations, are you just referring to all of the different move flows that we use in our dancing, or are you referring to sequences like the tuck turn flow that can continuously loop infinite times?
@kylester894 жыл бұрын
@@rhythmjuice The ladder. Would love to have more loops in my pocket.

I had to literally do like a gazillion rocksteps and triple steps just to get the muscle memory to do it without thinking about it so that I could start getting a good flow. Wax on wax off, right?
