Did the climber end up working? And if so, what are those hooks? They look like wires, but how are they strong enough? Thank you so much

The climber worked great, climbed in 5 seconds. The little hooks are only for grabbing a knot on the bottom of the rope. They're made from 1/8" steel round bar, and they're bent through a hex shaft. There are many ways this same function can be accomplished. We just used what we had on hand.

is a manipulator able to go outside of the perimeter or does the manipulator have to stay inside the allowed dimmenions

only if your bumper perimiter is smaller than the total size so if it calls for no more than 30 inches on one side and your bumpers are at 20 for that side then you 10 inches of play

So the bumpers ARE included in the measurements thats in the rule book of section 7.2 correct? I've read the manual but some things are a little confusing ( first year doing this).
