LGC is a beast! Not having ridden a bike in over 3 decades and now riding gravel centuries?! Awesome!

100%! I wish one of these mainstream podcasts would interview her. Full-time medical professional, mom, and more, way more interesting than a "gravel pro" / "privateer".

Greetings from Arizona!! Great videos, you are the channel that introduced me to Ribble! Bicycles have come a long way since the 1970s.

I built up a Gravel SL frameset with sram after watching your CGR build series and review awhile back. I ride it on the gravel (and paved) roads of northern VA and it’s a wonderful bike. The orange paint and details are beautiful in person IMO. Really happy with it and glad that LGC has enjoyed it!

Hey Jesse, love hearing this, and that you're loving life in NoVA. Undoubtedly, in my top five places to ride in the USA.

Good stuff. Amazing how much that Ribble looks like my Giant Revolt - same color, same basic geometry/dropped seat stays, very similar D seat post and clamp.

What kind of rims are those at 11:41? The polish silver? I love the look!

I'm interested in the Gravel SL and like LGC, I would need the XS frame. For reference, how tall is she and what's her inseam? Also, hello from Chattanooga, TN
@GravelCyclist Жыл бұрын
Ronald, pay attention to the top tube length on this bike, that is the most important measurement IMHO and how I initially sized the Gravel SL for LGC. Remember, you can always raise or lower a seatpost , so inseam measurement can be different between riders riding the same size bike, perhaps with a different length stem, etc.

@@GravelCyclist yeah, I’ve been studying a lot of geometry. Depending on seattube angle, I can ride frames with a TT of 515-525. The Gravel SL has very similar geometry to my CX bike, which give me a pretty good idea of how the bike will be setup.

Nice video, what color is this?
@GravelCyclist Жыл бұрын
Hello Nate, this is the default colour known as Satin Copper. Custom colours are available if so inclined from Ribble themselves.

I see you went electronic on your drum kit. So did I. Saves some space.

Hey Barry, mine is the Roland VAD507, which looks like an acoustic kit. Which kit did you purchase?
@barryjacobs9137 Жыл бұрын
@@GravelCyclist I got the Roland TD-07 kvx v drums. Local music store had a really great deal plus they are more compact which I needed. I would rather have a kit like yours or a true acoustic one but just don’t have the space. I like them and they sound and feel good except the hi-hat, I just can’t get used to the feel of them for some reason. 🤷🏻♂️
@GravelCyclist Жыл бұрын
Totally understand the need for compact, and there is no substitute for a real hi-hat. E-drums / mesh heads feel totally different to real drum heads, IMHO. I was originally looking at the Roland TD-50KV2 (ridiculously overpriced at over $8K), but I didn't like the bass / kick drum / pad, and for less $$, I thought the VAD507 was a much better buy for my situation. I will say, the 14" digital hi-hat on my kit is probably the closest thing to a real hi-hat, but it still has a few triggering issues, particularly with the foot splash. If you ever decide to upgrade the snare later, the Roland 14" digital snare is amazing. There are a couple of FB groups for Roland buy / trade, I've seen some players post some good deals in there from time to time.

uh, the 19th Century was the 1800s. Ribble didn't start in the 1800s. :)
