Thanks for this info Deanna, I was just wondering about using nylons in with wool, how that would work with blocking, and my guess is that it wouldn’t. What you said about wrecking your iron though…I was taught in school to crumple up a bunch of waxed paper and rub that back and forth over the hot iron surface. It’s worked like a charm any time I’ve needed to get gunk off my iron, have you ever tried it yourself?
