Ric Flair wrestled The Ultimate Warrior on the 1992 WWF House Show circuit more than just twice. He faced him four times in September of '92 alone; in Indianapolis, Indiana, Auburn Hills, Michigan, Rosemont, Illinois, and Duluth, Minnesota (all DQ wins for Warrior). Following that, they wrestled to a No Contest in Phoenix, Arizona on October 8th, 1992; in Long Island, New York on October 16th (Warrior wins by pinfall); and lastly, in Peoria, Illinois on October 25th (Warrior wins by pinfall).

Flair had more then two matches with Warrior because I was at a house show in 1992 in Houston where the main event was Flair and Warrior for the belt that ended in a DQ.

I was a 13 year old had just found the NWA and went to a house show at the old Cincinnati Gardens... Sting challenging Ric for the world title. No TV crew or cameras so we kinda know that nothing big is gonna happen... but damn that 45 minute match with the 2 count kickouts and high flying action and wrestling in the ring....we really thought sting might take it! It was better than the steamboat/savage WM 3 match.

Doubt it was better than wrestle mania 3 match them 2 are regarded as the best wrestlers of all time I say macho an steamboat where better workers than flair . Sting is great don’t get me wrong especially the height of the crow sting v now but he wasn’t a worker like steamboat or savage especially back in the day sting like warrior was a high spot guy meaning splash in the turnbuckle or press slam if it was a good or better than mania3 match regarded as the best match from start to finish in history. Flair must of carried that match like a motherfucker like the say flair can wrestle a broom stick an make it look great

Yeah I was a 13 year old kid and I watched the WM3 and steamboat/savage was my favorite match... and I only was only trying to say that what I saw in a house show from flair and sting was to a me as exciting as that match... and kept my attention for 45 minutes... so props to Flair and Sting for giving it their all and giving us fans our money's worth when "noone was watching".

Come on Ric. Give it a rest. Warrior screaming and yelling like a rockstar would’ve done just fine in NWA. And if it didnt, it was due to the southern fans not wanting it. None of us 9 year olds back then gave a shit about someone’s “wrestling ability”. All we cared about was the STORY being told.

Conrad is getting Flair more up to par as it relates to being able to do a podcast. Meaning there are less instances of Flair going silent, or giving one word answers. So he’s participating more, which is good, but now the problem is that Flair keeps interrupting Conrad. Did it several times in this short clip. Makes it hard to listen at what’s being said when it’s like that.

Both Sting and the Warrior were very green when they came up, the difference was that Sting worked and improved his craft and had many great matches with Flair and others while the Warrior flat out sucked in the ring and never improved himself and only got by thanks to Vince pushing him to the moon.

I don’t think Sting with his gimmick at the time (late 80’s) would have been as successful in WWF as they claim here. His gimmick, at least to me as a child, was that he was the NWA version of Hulk Hogan. Just a much smaller one. You could say that Lex Luger was the NWA version of Hogan, and he was equally ad popular ad Sting. What did Lex Luger do in the WWF? Certainly had a nice career, but was by no means the top guy. Unless what they’re asking is what if Sting STARTED in the WWF instead of coming over. I dont know, I still don’t think Sting would have been more of a star than British Bulldog or Jake the Snake Roberts. WWF was big man’s territory plain and simple. It was Andre, then Hogan, then Ultimate Warrior. After that they had to reconfigure their product, but Sting would’ve been around for the Andre/Hogan era.
