If The Nature Boy Ric Flair had started in the WWF/WWE & had been given the freedom to be "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair that we all had back in the 70's & 80's, Ric Flair would have been bigger than just about anyone that came through WWE. Maybe not as big as The Undertaker or Stone Cold Steve Austin, but, would have been right there with them! There will only be 1 Nature Boy Ric Flair, often imitated but never duplicated!! WOOOOOOO

Taker lived wrestling. All of it. The kayfabe the entrance, the promos, he literally lived the undertaker character to such a point you never saw him out of character even outside the ring IF, You were lucky enough to get a glimpse of him in real life. But this man also ate breathed and lived pro wrestling etc. Words can never describe this man but if Vince inducting him literally doesn't say what he has meant to WWE and wrestling as a whole, idk what does. The stories in and outside of the ring are endless and ftr taker is my all time favorite and even though I say flair was the best ever taker actually had a bigger impact in his day compared to flair. Flair was the perfect professional on every level. Taker though transcended the game. He literally went from old school WWF and how you got there to the new aged WWE. I say this because Vince will never get what a huge part actual wrestling plays into it all. Yes he has the entertainment part down well but if there is shit wrestler then nobody's gives a fuck. Just ask AEW. I was so pumped. My bf calls me. Wait you mean someone is going to open a company that actually focuses on the wrestling again. I'm in baby. Well I was until I realized what they thought was wrestling was high spot after high spot as well as becoming WWE 2.0. And I honestly don't care what demo you own bc it's about the total and what you bring in money wise period. Not to mention AEW AND WWE would kill to have the ratings they had back in the day. I would say it's easier for Vince with his money etc but Khan may actually have more or at least his dad may. So what they bought ROH. It's not like you got WCW or your only comp. You bought a low level promo. Over two years and AEW one never showed me what they said they were gonna do and two if I want to watch WWE I will watch WWE. Minus the old and constant high spots it's just like WWE. smh. Just hope MJF jumps when his contract is up. One of maybe ten wrestlers who are actually good and matter.

I've followed Mark's career from his humble beginnings as "Texas Red". And everything from that point forward only got better with one Mark Calaway. He was TRULY a phenom in that squared circle. Accomplishing things men his height and weight don't even dare to do. Plancha's over the top rope, walking the ropes like he's Jinsei Shinzaki aka Hakushi. The guy was and had everything at his disposal. And yes i'll go so far as too say he was BETTER then Hulk Hogan and left a FAR FAR bigger legacy. This business will NEVER be the same without him. That is why i hope is still is a part of training or being "behind the curtain" doing agent work. He still has A LOT to offer in terms of his knowledge base and contributing to this business.

The best point that was made was the answer to the “what made the gimmick great?” Which is Mark Calloway The gimmick without Calloway would have sucked and fallen by the wayside within a year of debut. This was a foregone conclusion. A no doubt unanimous selection that was going to come. My only knock on the Hall of Fame is the induction of several, call them personalities or non wrestlers, being inducted that has cheapened the honor IMO. You cannot or should not put these entertainers and one show wonders, regardless of reference to so-called special wings, in alongside those who have beaten the path and performed for so long at such a high, the highest, level in the business. Years and years. Bump after bump, your ability to enhance the talents of those you worked with over a very long period of time. It just isn't right to cheapen that. I understand the celebration, the weekend at Wrestlemania, the entire ceremony and spectacle, it is all done right as far as that is concerned. The inductees feel very honored. But who you share that Hall with has to be a point of contention because in wrestling, there are great performers, but it takes ultimately two, at least, to have a great match. It's called the Hall of Fame to represent the greats in the business and not just one considered the greatest of all time.

I've always said that the HBK and Triple H feuds would have been the best ways to do it, or either waiting to build somebody up, like Braun Strowman's Monster gimmick would have benefitted a lot from that. Having HBK retire after ending the streak after beating the streak or having Taker revenge retire Michaels both could have been amazing. But that Sweet Chin Music interference would also have been the perfect moment for HHH to end it.

i have mixed feelings about taker, as his gimmick wasn't used right, an undertaker puts people to rest, that should have been it, a big scary guy who does that.. not a dead guy with supernatural powers! but he was able carry it and became very popular even though a heel.. but when he dropped that and became the biker, and back to old self in weird tights, totally loses the integrity of that character.. but he was so loved , the fans still went for it...! he obviously was a major guy for wwe, and it was stupid to have him lose to brock, just for brocks sake as he was the new top guy in wwe...! he definetly deserves all the accolades and praise. but his career was tarnished by some goofy decisions

I love flair but geez it gets boring how he says he was always badley treated and not given respect. 16 time champ is fairly respectful and if you didn't drink yourself stupid every night maybe absolute respect might have been there

Undertaker is obviously one of the greatest draws but this HoF class seems so poorly put together it's a real shame. Only 3 inductees announced so far, very disappointing in my opinion.

He never had a bad match? Roman reigns? Goldberg? I just think he went a little too long. He should’ve done the graveyard match a few years earlier when he knew he was debilitating and to where he was still very credible. I think him for doing this for over 30 years, since I was a preteen, but I think he held on a tad too long. I’m very glad he’s going into the Hall of Fame. He makes that Hall of Fame legitimate. Guys like him and Ric Flair and Stone Cold Steve Austin, guys like that. Abdullah the Butcher 🤷🏼‍♂️, The bushwhackers 🤷🏼‍♂️, Not quite. But those names and names like those, that’s what Gives it credibility

Ric... you sorely need a better partner with a legit voice and brain to throw back and forth with. I couldn't make it through to the end due to Mark. You are a multi-decades icon that rings as true today as back in the day... unlike this out-of-touch throwback ala SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY. Every question and statement out of Mark's mouth reminds of forced fakeness. Basic hollow delivery, no real quips or actual banter w/ you - time to upgrade that tag team partner, legend. Lost his magic from WCW announcing days I guess.
