Ric Flair is a man addicted to the lifestyle of being on the road. He has destroyed three marriages this way, through his heavy drinking, partying and infidelity. He never grew up, and he never slowed down to put money aside for retirement. He has veen a functioning alcoholic all of his life, but now it is starting to catch up with him, as are the problems he has caused with people, including his family. He drinks when he thinks about Reid's death, but he has ridden the 'life on the road' train so long, he doesn't know how to get off, and he can't spend quality time with his family because that would have to involve being selfless - something Ric Flair will never be!

I though Flair had turned over the proverbial “new leaf” after his heart attack when he swore off alcohol. Obviously that did not last too long. It seems like he has resigned himself to the fact that he is getting to the end, so he wants to go out living life on his terms even if it speeds up the expiration process. As a professional however, he should turn down invitations to be interviewed on podcasts if he is not going to respect other people’s time and just half-@$$ the interview.

I watched the entire interview with Bert and Flair, it was a very good interview, it was 3 people sitting around talking about Ric's career, wrestling in general but when the subject of family and his son came up he broke down a little bit, something he would do if he was sober or not, in this case he was hardly drunk. I find it pathetic and sad that you and Dutch needed to make a video about it to basically mock and make fun of the situation. I've lost people in my life that when brought up in a conversation whether I'd been drinking or not I'd break down to. It's called emotions perhaps if you two had some you'd understand. The fact that some of your own minions are commenting as if they saw the whole interview is simply the sheep mentality of today's society. In regards to you and this podcast it's embarrassing and shameful to say the least, anything for views huh. Now I know Flair's done things to embarrass himself in the past but this isn't one of those times. This host REALLY has a hard on for Flair. Flair must’ve turned him down, because he works through Conrad Thompson, who Flair says repeatedly is his best friend, which is just really sad on its own. But this host is seething when he mentions, “do not talk about your dead son.” If the hosts of the show Flair is on don’t seem to mind, maybe STFU. These podcasts rarely break the 100,000 view count, and Shane Douglas’ just went under, and he’s running out of high quality guests at this point. It seems he and Dutch use Flair to get as many eyes on their podcast as possible. Anyways, he needs the views so he can buy some shirts that actually fit…Comes off desperate and weird, and I’m no fan of the current Flair and his burning the candle at both ends while also burning a lot of bridges. This weeble wobble needs to take a breath and find something better to talk about. Running out of those really tough questions like “who is the smelliest wrestler” and “who wins the imaginary bar fight.” Top notch wrestling journalism…

The difference between Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair, as they age, is one big thing. Hogan ALWAYS KNEW the superhero gimmick was a gimmick. He knew he was a musician that became a wrestler, who wasn’t a real tough guy. He knows he works out and looks good for his image, which makes him a lot of money, but his back is gone, and he needs his new wife to hold him up if they walk any distance. Someone tried to break in his house once and he had a gun waiting for them, grateful he didn’t have to use it. He wasn’t trying to play Hulkamania and beat them all up. He studied money, he studied business, and he got all his money back after that divorce, and probably more. Ric Flair is a forever child who believes his own gimmick all the time, and for that, he’s constantly broke. He keeps wanting that one more match, but the last one was so bad, it wasn’t true. He doesn’t want to change, and it makes him constantly broke and constantly in his own head. Also, what happened to Reid didn’t help.
