Outstanding as usual, Richy. One excellent touch in this project was you taking advantage of the different colours of wood at the laminate line. It gives the whole picture extraordinary depth.

I have a friend that has developed mad skills using a technique he calls solar pyrography, where he uses different magnifying lenses to burn his artwork into different projects he creates. The detail and shading is unmatched by the use of woodburners. He just sits on the beach and creates unbelievable pieces in a very short time and always has a crowd watching him. Rarely does he bring any of his work home, they sell before he even finishes them. I've seen him walk away with $2200 in just 4 hours!

Jon Rothenbusch yes, I've seen a couple of works done with that technic but never seen a live piece. Must have a great skill and patience. Would love to see some of that work. Does he have a site?

Ricardo Coelho sorry, he has no website or even a cell phone, he's a beach bum. I just know him from Kahena beach on the Big Island. He lives in a tenthouse off grid. I often wonder what he does with all the money he makes!

Anastasia, can I suggest you another one? Take a look at the Optima 1: www.carvertools.com/ It is cheaper than the Razertip and it has more quality and a better customer service. Take a look at both of them. I bought the Razertip first but, now that I have both of them, I do prefer the Optima.

Will Doylevlogs it's not very hard. It's all practice and starting with small projects. You can buy a cheap machine just to feel if you like the process and then buy a more expensive one if you feel you need to. If you live in the USA you can buy a Walnut Hollow Creative Versa Tool. It's cheap and works very well. It already has temperature control and I've seen amazing projects with this tool. You can get it on Amazon : www.amazon.com/Walnut-Hollow-Versa-Temp-Temperature-Woodburning/dp/B005P1TRAS Hope this helps. I'm sure you'll love it.

Hi. No, this is a machine that burns wood or leather or paper. It has different temperatures and different tips and you can make these drawings with it. This is called pyrography.

Hello Ahmed. This machine burns the wood. It has different tips and temperature regulation that allows to make outlines and shading. It can also burn leather and paper. It's called pyrography.

I like that one it seems to flow alot better then most .and how it shades without having to switch tips constantly. I keep having to switch using pliers to remove the tip ..

Thank you. I usually do most of the work with the shading tip and almost the same temperature. You probably use one that has brass tips. My first ones where like that also and did a lot of work with them. These are just more practical. I even asked a friend to make me a temperature regulator for one of them and it worked. I still have it.
