Great skating Lino! Living proof that old is gold :D i am curious about the Mesmer Slayer Myfit liners. Would they happen to be like 2nd skins, skinny boys or some other liner from the Myfit range?
@chilli-iceolive-abode2447
@chilli-iceolive-abode2447 2 жыл бұрын
They're extremely high quality liners not like any of the other Myfit liners I've used before. Incredibly dense feeling thick foam that becomes malleable when heated up with your feet. They are much thicker than second skins, more on par with crowns. I find for the Mesmer I had to use an Intuition because of how narrow the heel is. It's tighter at the back than M12s of the same shell size in my opinion, rest of the shell a fraction more space. But yeah great liners just gonna be using them in different skates myself. Only thing they could improve is a better heel pocket as it's not quite big enough to fully tuck your heel in 100%.

@@RicardoLino that would be amazing. A lot of people felt like the fit is really tight with the stock liner, and the shell is a little narrow near the front but pretty wide around the heel. It would be interesting to know which liners you'd recommend for downsizing to the 41/42 shell without getting too loose around the heel, and also how some of the nicer aftermarket liners fit with the larger shell.

I got mine a few days but haven’t had the chance to use them yet. There’s half a foot of snow on the ground where I live. I’m from Chicago and the past two years I’ve been diving into skating heavy, from urban to aggressive now to wizards basically. We have no skate shops here whatsoever, so everything is online. The more skates I buy the more I’m learning about my feet and what works and what don’t , though it’s tough finding a good skate when most brands fit so different from one another. Ive been skating sl aggressive because they’re more on the wide side, but my question is how do they fit compared to thems 909s? My foot is a bit wide and a bit tall, so I’m really trying to get an accurate skate. Even with the past skates ive bought there’s always been a catch.. I’m still on the journey for the perfect skate and learning what fits right. Also how tight should a skate fit? Some say super tight toes while standing, just touching the front while in skate position. Some say lose with a bit of wiggly room. It’s just hard trying to figure all this out with just videos. I’ll message you on ig too, hopefully you see this.

Do you think I would be able to buy these skates and swap out the frame to 80mm frames when skating to work and swap back when I am in the skate park? So I can have 2 in 1 skate. (I don't have the money to buy 2 new skates) Thank you, love the content!
@ZenithPotentia
@ZenithPotentia Жыл бұрын
It's possible, but you won't be able to attach the frames you have on your current setup to aggressive skates because aggressive skates use a different mounting system than most big wheel skates. You will have to buy a frame that's UFS that allows for 80mm wheels. Compass frames are a good choice because they were designed for the exact type of setup you're looking for
