0:55…You did not mention anything about that switch that says “5AMP” on the back. Is that a reset switch? I found one of those (model R10S.2, yours is an R10S.4) in pieces by a dumpster in September 2020. I managed to salvage it somewhat. But I had to take it to Quality Sewing & Vacuum in Bellevue WA and pay them $135 to finish the job. It was worth it as they sell them for $400 new. My unit is featured in a KZbin series called “Salvaging Riccar SupraLite R10S.2 Found In Pieces.”

The R10S is definitely worth it if you're looking for a lightweight carpet vacuum.

are the parts inside the actual motor replaceable? I tried looking online but nothing on it yet. I ask because after changing out the direct fan on my moms vacuum I noticed one of the blades of the aluminum fan, I'm guessing at what its called, was cracked and kind of loose.

Yes, we can replace the parts within the motor. Like the fan, carbon brushes, etc. We are an authorized Riccar Dealer and service center and also supply the parts. Please reach out to info@acevacuums for additional information.
