I love everything you create. I just have to add, you’re the only person that I watch that adds flyspecks to age a piece. Is this a UK thing? In the US people get rid of the age of a piece, yet you embrace it! Your authenticity is so cool!

Hi, in Australia we have some woodworm mainly from importing antiques from o/s and more in the last 50 years. I think some gets in from countries that aren’t careful with quarantine and it’s missed somehow here - quarantine is very strict for commercial imports but not for individuals buying in the post I don’t think. Your trim was too big because the timber top had shrunk over time. Turned out amazingly!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Just have some pre op s to make and then a Guy who's excellent in Wood repairs. Then, The fun: Black, Mahagony, and Gold Leaf, (maybe a bit of Cream, or other 3rd accent color) Thats just a decision for "in-process". Truly glad youre back!!! Now, I shall watch! I have never used a paint inlay and probably would not, unless I watched this video, just amazing how you maneuvered that inlay to fit the whole piece, and then the speckling was the top off and the aging!! Thank you so much, I don’t think you know what a marvelous teaching tutorial this was!!!

That turned out so well! I have the same paint Inlay, which I want to use on an old trunk I picked up. The trunk has some issues I need to deal with first. The metal sides are rusted, and parts of the original canvas have been pulled off. Whoever had it before me apparently stored horse tack in it while in a barn. Not sure if I should pull all the canvas off or just paint it as is after dealing with the rusted metal.
