@@AlessaParker In Japanese, Dandadan is the closest thing to that. U makes more of an oo sound, like in book, and a is like in father. There is no "uh" sound. The syllable du also doesn't really exist. They have dzu instead.

@@SaruCharmed That last part is not true. Japanese absolutely has du. I understand why you'd think that it's pronounced "dzu" but that's only regional and it's closer to just "zu". The actual pronunciation however is du. There are four characters in katakana that change sounds based on four regions of Japan. So while many Japanese pronounce "du" as "zu/dzu" that's solely regional dialect and not based on the actual language rules.

The Dan Da Dan name does have an explanation further down the road... but I don't even know how long its gonna take to reach that in the anime. It was revealed fairly recently, and the manga is going since 2021...

​@@motastic1714this season will cover up to episode 30. Evil eye arc will start season 2. Covering chapter 31 to 73 probably. Jiji will get introduced this season but his story is in season 2. Evil arc covers almost 20 chapters, no way that will fit in the 12 episodes we get this season.
