Entertainment sometimes needs to be wild. Lest everything get samey and boring. Having an aliens vs ghost story would of been interesting by itself especially with how well the characters are written and how good the animation is. The whole dong and sexuality subtheme is basically there to grab your attention. Its a... VERY WEIRD hook, but it works remarkably well.

Yep. Both based on an actual urban legend. There are many different variations but the most common I've heard when I was still living there is that you'll be driving through a tunnel on the highway and suddenly hear a knock on the window and when you look there's a grandma matching your speed. She doesn't really do anything she's just....there lol.

Ken Takakura is the name of Momo’s celebrity crush(real actor btw) and the male mc just happens to have the same name which is why momo was surprised, the male mc also says one of the actors lines “coincidentally” specifically the “I’m an awkward guy after all” line And it also explains why she even dated the douchebag in the beginning which was bcuz said douchebag looked like her celeb crush (which tbf most teens tend to have bad first dating experience)

Can't remember if the manga ever straight up tells you that but it's something most reactors don't know. If you watched the video she's even confused as to how turbo granny got on the ship. This is just giving a look at the actual lore to help make sense to the scene.
