The fact that those older women, mums and even the pregnant women who walked past her and didn’t help her in a situation they would be embarrassed about it if it happened to them when they were younger was upsetting. And they are probably the same women who complain that young women are lost or whatever blah blah blah. Because in times you were meant to be a mentor to the younger women you copped out so don’t complain about a generation you were never ready to help.

It could be as you described it. But it could also be that older people take things more relaxed and think its just s strain. She will notice once she is home. So maybe they are not indifferent but just think its not important enough. Older people are often much more relaxed whereas younger people often freak out about little stuff.

I think it shows that men are afraid to approach a little girl like that because we will be looked at as a creep pedophile kidnapper ETC.... The guy doing the experiment knows this as a fact he knew women would approach the little girl but you noticed he said that no man even approached the girl to tell her which means he wanted the reaction from the man not the women because naturally a woman is going to approach any other girl and tell them they have a stain from their period on the back of their pants because they can relate to it a man cannot relate to that

Those teenagers were so kind to help an 11 year old starting her period and explaining to her in ways that wouldn’t scare her. I started my period when I was 11 and I knew exactly what to expect because my mother told me all about periods when I started puberty. My mother got her period when she was 9 and back in her day, no one told her about periods so when she noticed blood coming out of down there, she thought she was dying. If I ever witnessed a young girl with a blood stain on her pants, I would immediately help her like those teenagers did.

Most men don't do it because of social backlash, there is a good chance that it would he social suicide to say that to the girl. Generally if I have a female friend I trust with me I would have told her to tell the girl if she didn't notice/didn't do it. But I would never do it myself - as much as it would save her from embarrassment, it would also risk social suicide for me... And this is for a teenage boy, imagine how it is for older men - they'd also be labeled a pedophile. (people would say "why you looked there? You creep, you approached a young girl!" And disregard the fact that red is a color that draws attention because evolutionary reasons, so if she is in your periphery it would be hard to not notice)

It's probably because it's normal now to talk openly about periods in North America but for older generations it is more common to never talk about it. Still... even then though... terrible to not stop and help a girl out :*(
