Yes it was a nice weld, yes it is very repeatable once programmed, but geez, 19+ mins in and not one bead was laid! A good welder could have had three or more of those welded up.

That's a good thing ! Lol I know my job isn't in jeopardy seeing all the potential errors from programming & calibrating .

The thing is once it’s programmed it’s done. This isn’t even one of the most accurate “arms” you can program. These arms on a production line make human production welders obsolete. The need for human welders in general is not in any danger this century. Robots will eventually be able to take over the role completely eventually

@Jesse Patrick it may not be in danger in the immediate future, but if you look at job outlook for welder vs most other trades, its not gonna make it to the next century

I deal mostly with Yaskawa, Kuka, and Nachi robots but but this one is alot like the Motoman robots are, in terms of programming that is. Is this in some small production shop or what?

Pretty straight forward. Takes a while. Wish gone more over a few things on the screen with communication. Just having to learn a robot like this from i believe this company. Basically going to be thrown into it with less than a day of actual learning with someone.

Ray, The table has 1/2" Holes on a 4"x4" Grid pattern
