I think what actually brings happiness is having enough money to the point where it isnt a stressor and you dont have to think about it money doesnt always bring happiness though because money is not what makes life worth living people, your relationships are what make this whole adventure worthwhile and maybe your job as well if you find purpose from it and see it as a way of improving others lives ( which goes back to relationships because it deals with your realationship to your community and the people in it)

@@MindlessTube You can be EXTREMELY miserable with money if you undergo painful shit in life. Ex: You are rich enough to get whatever smartphone or electronic device you want, eat whatever you want, you want to have your own career but there is NO NEED to rush cuz your parents are gigantic money vaults. BUT your parents go through heart surgeries, accidents, you get hurt? money can't shield you from that. You are born in a toxic family, but you're scared that there is no one else to properly look after your parents. If you try to come clean and cut ties with your toxic family cuz they aren't changing their nature any time soon, you would get your share of the family heritage or whatever, so you won't end up broke. But one day when your parents desperately need someone's help to look after them cuz they're old, they won't let u help them cuz they're mad about how u once cut off ties with them. So u don't come clean, u distance yourself from your family cuz u don't want to experience their emotional torture 24/7, but u also want to take responsibility and look after them during their old age, cuz you love them. It is more comfortable to cry in a mercedes than on a bicycle. But money can't "rescue" you from any emotional shit fam.

Amount of income is very important, but how you spend that income via assets or liabilities will determine your level of wealth (net worth). 4. Invest in income generating assets as soon as possible and as often as possible (stocks, bonds, real estate, etc.) to produce more income.

Buying Coca Cola today and having it compound in 20 years is extremely safe and easy to do, and it's better then spending that money on liabilities, which is what Robert is stressing, however that is also being to safe and fearful of loss of money. Basically you will find more people here that get his idea of building the asset column but still unwilling to go big. So they will choose the stock market for example.

@Yukoner777774 жыл бұрын
For someone just starting out on the road to becoming rich, you are likely not starting out with assets. At least, not the kind of assets that make you money. So the claim in the video at 5:10 that one HAS Income > Expenses BECAUSE your Assets > Expenses, is not true . . . in the beginning. At the start of your journey, the only way to get your Income ahead of your expenses is to LIVE BELOW YOUR MEANS!!! But the easy availability of credit plus the common self-deserving, desirous mentality that one needs to have the shiny new car, the name brand clothes, etc., right NOW, prevent the vast majority of people from getting ahead. They're in debt from the get go. Even if they increase their assets, those never get ahead of their liabilities. It's all clear now. Wish I knew this 50 years ago!

The rich acquire assets, the poor acquire liabilities > know the difference between an asset and a liability > assets produce passive income: businesses that don't require your presence, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, income-generating real estate, royalties 2. Liabilities bring debt > liabilities: mortgages, taxes, loans, the house etc. > general population has 2 emotions: fear (earning money to pay bills) and greed (endless desire for joy) 3. Throughout my entire life, Whenever I run into a problem in any subject, or If I'm frustrated with learning something, I've always asked myself "What am I missing here?", "There has to be another way", "What am I doing wrong?". When I have a job, I don't view that job as working for money, I view it as I'm getting experience while working at the job. Some people don't understand that mentality and that's okay. But I always knew there had to be a better way of doing things, the question was what form would it take, and how would I learn it.

Someone making a political move---> u don't like that move cuz it affects the well being of you, your family, kids, etc, --> you can't stop them cuz they evil ---> you are "mute" to them and everyone else who is powerful. They'd just be like, "sorry peasant, can't hear ya over my papers' rustling". Now imagine that THEY are the ones who own the schools or other educational institutions. Why would they teach u the way to overpower them? especially when they KNOW that they are wrong and you are a good person. Giving the good people the audible voice is their ultimate fear. Hence they keep your volume down, unless u wanna join their evil side. The only exception to their rule is: You work smart without their help, it's not just about people getting to the top, you basically even build your own staircase. Why so much difficulty? cuz you decided to stick to your morals, that's the price you pay. But on the bright side, u get one more reward: "one who wins the game, gets to change the rules".

I remember once, I ask my father why do we rent out the houses that we just bought? (Because you know right, renting means i cant stay at there whenever i like) then my father told me about whats the difference between assets and liabilities. My dad is not highly educated, but still tried to explain to me. Thanks to this book that explain further more, so i can link everything together and make sense. Ok, so...I might get a lot of hate for saying this but, here we go : one thing to remember is that no one, absolutely no one knows how to make you succed, and if they did, they wouldn't teach you(unless you were their child or something like that). Also, there is absolutely no nieche, no easy way, no "shortcut", no "just do this", no "that's simple, you just have to...". NO, all of that is a bunch of crap. If something were to be easy, then wouldn't everyone be doing that? If something was really there for the taking, wouldn't we all be millionaires and billionaires? Everything is to motivate you, to guide you, not to show you the path. If you want to be richer, be more successful than the others, than you must be better, smarter, more hardworking, more EVERYTHING than the others. Stop focusing on others, stop chasing money, stop listening to other's advices on what you should be doing and spend more time thinking about who you are and what you want from life. If you really think tons and tons of money is really cool, i can guarantee to you it isn't. At a certain point, nothing makes you happy anymore, getting another sports car, clothes, phone, anything, it's really depressing. I'm giving you this free advice from all my heart, you don't know who I am, I dont know who I'm writing this to, but please at least consider my words.

I somewhat agree with you. The thing is, making millions is relatively easy but you just need the right mindset and willpower. That's why there aren't that many successful people out there. It's hard to get that type of mental strength in you. You have to have the power to take action, take insults, and turn all of that into motivation and success. Like i said, having strong willpower and strength isn't something everyone has in them. So please don't have that type of vision when it comes to making millions and billions cause your very wrong. But if you don't want to switch up your opinion on this, that's all you do whatever you want! Hope you change your mindset!

Also learn how to live more frugal, there are possibilities to save so much money every day if we make good decisions. Search “Frugal living” on KZbin to get some more ideas :)

There is a price to pay depending on your situation. I’m currently 24 years old and getting ready to buy my 2nd house so that I can rent it out. All my friends either live in an apartment or still lives with their parents. The reason I’m close to buying my 2nd house is because I work all the time and know that the money I am putting in will come back to me with interest in the future. But because if the amount of work I do I rarely hang out with my friends. I start to appreciate the times I am able to hang out with the ones that appreciate me hanging out with them. You get to see friends that turn their back on you because you don’t have time to hang out and buy unnecessary liabilities like Starbucks or the newest iPhone. My point is everyone’s situation is different, but from my experience there is a price to pay to be successful sometimes. I just hope whoever reads this will be better able to tell what is worth your time and money compared to someone like me.

What no one ever mentions about "passive income" is that you actually have to WORK for it. Keep track of your investments on assets constantly, or you will end up losing money instead. Say you own an apartment that you rent. You have to make sure that whoever rents it, pays you. If they don't you have to go legally chase them. Pay lawyers for that etc. If you invest in a company you have to be sure it won't bust. So you have to do research. That's also work. You need to be there, paying attention, investing a lot of your "not-free-anymore" time. Unless you have a gigantic fortune and you can pay people to watch over your assets. Even then, you have to be careful who you trust with that. It's like a garden. You have to water and tend to it in order for it to grow.

I read this book by the end of 2019 and it has changed my life. So much has happened in the short time and especially with Covid-19, there a certain business that still make good money. God bless you all, i pass on positive energy to you. Good luck 🙌

I have read a book on how covid19 pandemic adversely affected the lives of people and I think I can recommend one short book of 23 pages it's on Amazon. ( Financial discipline versus constant cycle of bills and payments ) that resonates with many people. The innocent and ignorant people are the ones who lose the game. Financially disciplined people win it. In that book there are 2 main characters one is John and the other is James, John loses everything and gets into serious trouble after losing his job during the covid19 pandemic and James also loses his job but he is tension free because he had accumulated a lot of money since 4 years from his monthly salary, which makes him financially free.

That was really educative. But it makes me question something. If all of the sudden, literally everybody in the world would know of this successful "Asset aquiring" life style and applied it to their lifes... wouldnt the lifestyle become non-functional? Would it be like, the secret Highway where you travel faster because not many know of it, but its purpose would be rendered useless because the more peopple learn about it and use it, the bigger the traffic becomes.
@ChronicleLiving7 жыл бұрын
Hey Komyets, That's a really good question and I definitely thought about that before. In theory, if it were to be like that, I think it could change our world with a loss of balance. But in reality, it wouldn't. We still need workers like doctors, engineers, etc for our society to function. Heck, there's possibles of workers getting replaced by automation in the future, but that's a whole different topic. Not everyone has the same mindset for these "asset inquiring" lifestyle due to how first of all, it takes money to make money for almost every asset and money plays a big role on human emotions. We humans are emotional beings that can be lead entirely by our emotions. Many of times, where it leads is towards mediocrity.

Your question assumes two major things. 1. Everyone knows this information 2. Everyone can use this information We all know how to shoot a basketball and recognize that if we are good at it we can make a lot of money. But for various reasons-- laziness, lack of natural aptitude, lack of discipline, lack of access to scouts--we all don't make it. We all know what's good for our body, but we don't execute accordingly for the same reasons we all don't go pro. The second assumption also assumes that we're all as talented at buying the RIGHT assets which produce income. But we aren't, there are better investors than others, just as there are better lawyers and better chefs. If you told the masses( and you have--it's on KZbin, in books, on tv etc lol) the world wouldn't look much different than it does right now. Some people are satisfied, some start at a disadvantage, some don't have the same level of access.

I feel there is a lot of value to be had with this book and video. However, with the number of entrepreneurs constantly on the rise and with such a high fail rate in place for new businesses it's easy to see how someone can criticize. There are more people now than ever selling people dreams and for the most part that is all they are doing - selling dreams. That is not to say there are decent mentors and businesses out there as we know that there are just do your due diligence. Get a job doesn't have to be big bucks but least you have stability then save and work on what you want to do on the side then hopefully, it gets to the stage you can quit your job but least you have that stable income coming in every week in case it goes bottoms up. Best regards, A Tried & Tested Entrepreneur of 10+ years

Knowing the difference between assets and liabilities and buy assets. This is what my biggest takeaway from Robert's book was. However... not everyone is well suited for being a landlord or owning a business. As Jason Kelly wrote , "Your stocks are never going to call you at 2am because the pipes are leaking". As far as a home being a "liability", Jason also wrote that even if your home price goes down, you can still live in it.
