Literally my thoughts exactly. Everyone is putting it on the defensive coordinator, who is also one of the most responsible for this blowout, but definitely feels like Sean Payton should be getting exposed more for this loss than he is. His team completely gave up just like Rich said. At least it felt like the giants were trying on defense when they lost to the cowboys this year by 40.

Payton would be getting more if Sutton didn't have 2 fumbles and 2 dropped td passes. Hard to say they didn't have a good offensive game plan

@@baronb5103 I mean isn't one of your best receivers on the team dropping passes and fumbling kind of on the "offensive" minded head coach Sean Payton? Also the broncos just made so many mistakes in that game it was like they were asking the dolphins to score. It would have almost been more disrespectful if they didn't score in some instances.

This conversation rarely happens in baseball when a team loses by 15 runs. The embarrassed team just goes out the next day and usually plays a much better game. In the case of the Broncos they have a week to get ready for a fellow lame team, the Bears.

@@bruxi78230 Baseball has 162 games. You can chalk up a bad night to "it just wasn't our night, we'll get 'em tomorrow". When you have a mere 17 games and you give up 70 points, it's potentially disastrous. It's possible that they'll rebound and get their act together, but if they end up 4-13 or something pitiful, this game will looked at very closely.

@@trstano ---- Actually it's 161, and I get your point, but my point is in either sport it's one in the loss column. Dust yourself off and go win the next one, especially against another weak team. To me it was way worse that in the first two games they should have won both. If you look at the Broncos record over the years for games in Florida in September they almost always lose.

I am a math guy so, 17 points allowed week 1, 35 points allowed week 2, and 70 points allowed week 3. So... 140ish in week 4. Theyll make Fields look like Michael Vick or some other really good mobile QB. Rich is right though, watch the highlights, those players gave up.

I respect Payton's resume. I was excited to have him take over the team. I could go on a long, drawn out rant on what I think is wrong with the team......but I won't. All I have to say at this point is that when your defense gives up a 21 - 3 lead to the Commanders in week 2, and then gives up the most points scored in an NFL game since 1966, 70 points, (and they could have hung more on them if they wanted to), in week 3, you are a shitty head coach if your defensive coordinator is still on your squad in week 4.

A lot of those missed tackles were caused by players being out of postion. They were cheating on their assignments because they didn't trust the scheme or their teamates. We saw that early on Hill's long TD when both safties crashed down on the slot reciever (Robbie Chosen nee Andersson) because they didn't think (rightly) that the nickle back could cover him. That left Hill wide open for the easy touchdown. Same all game long.

There's only one explanation for him keeping Russ in: he wants him to get injured. It's his only way out of the Russell Wilson business.

Out of 31 years as a Broncos fan I am hanging up on my team. I have dealt with disappointment through multiple seasons, but these past seven years have been some of the worst memories since I first started watching football at age 10. The game itself has changed. It's not the fun gridiron game it once was for me. It seems Denver has no answers. I wish them luck in the future but as for my support and spending time and money I just don't have the heart to pay anymore attention to the game.

I am sorry to hear this, team can go through some very tough periods. Remember why you fell in love with them to begin with, but also keep an eye out for what they need to do for the future. Miami hired Grier in 2000 as a college talent scout. The guy developed our scouting program to what it is today, but it took 20 years before he was GM. What I am saying is, it will take a few years but you all will be back soon enough, don’t give up on them.

Today I went back to 1998. Superbowl 32. I have to admit I was smiling and enjoying the game as if I knew nothing of the outcome. The game being played was different. The flags were not thrown right and left. In fact I believe it was Joe Gibbs who said during a call that today would have been a pass interference said " Yep no call they were just playing football". Point being the game is not the same but I am greatful for the past and I got to be apart of it. It revived a lost feeling inside me.

Is Eisen friends with Sean Payton? He danced around his responsibility in this - as well as his unjustified and arguably comedic arrogance. Why is there so little talk of Sean Payton's comments about the last head coach, him running up the score himself in the past, him showing poor sportsmanship right before colossal failures...? Sean Payton is "Pride cometh before the fall" in head football coach form.

Think about all the draft picks lost the last 2 drafts, think about players Denver can not get players because of current and future cap space all of this for a shot QB Russell Wilson, they could only score 20 points when the Miami defence was giving the the short gains in order to run time off clock with a huge lead. Russell Wilson is the core of the problem, they blamed coach last year fired him and keep Russell and things have only got worse , not to mention Sean Payton is deer in headlights with out Drew Brees.
