The Bills loss to the Eagles last night essentially gift wrapped the AFCE to the Dolphins, who could clinch with another win over the Jets. Unless a win in Week 18 can clinch the No. 1 seed, the Dolphins may be resting players against the Bills.

Can't you see that Jets fans are the problem. They always want a quick fix. So instead of working to improve depth of the offensive line so they can have protection and a running game they trade a really great quarter back. Just watch when Aaron fails too. The Jets can never be good.

@aresee8208

5:12 A close one was on Christmas Eve in 2000, at Baltimore. Chris McAlister returns an interception 98 yards for a touchdown with just 7 seconds remaining in the half (so time didn't quite run out during the return, but it was really close). The QB was Vinny Testaverde. The team - your NY Jets. The Jets went from, at worst, leading 14-12 at the half, and driving to take a 21-12, or at least a 17-12 lead, to losing 14-20 (w/2pt conv). That was a good one!

Dolphins season tickets have been sold out for the past few years and attendance is not an issue. Yes, many seats down in the end zones are bought by travel companies and sell them to the visiting teams. I know because my season tickets were in that same area. So yes, there will be plenty of Dallas fans but not because Dolphin fans won't buy up the tickets. There have been few if any open seats this year and last. The Dolphins usually draw well. I was a season ticket holder for many years, so I know who is and is not that stadium.

Rich, as a dolphin season-ticket holder, I can tell you for sure that Hard Rock will be half Cowboys fans. We sold out our season tickets for the first time in franchise history last year, and that is still the case this year. So when we host a playoff game it will be rocking, But cowgirls fans are making that ticket too expensive and a lot of people are selling their tickets.
@Mike__B
@Mike__B Жыл бұрын
That seems to be the status quo these days though, with how expensive season tickets is often with horrible PSL fees, it's almost a given some will sell their tickets to visiting teams fans because they can recoup some of their money off the tickets and in some cases only need to sell 3 or 4 tickets to pay for their entire season tickets.

The Jets season was over when they traded for Aaron Rodgers and kowtowing to him while drinking his kool-aid and smoking his weed. Rich should have stopped talking about the Jets during the pre-season. Aaron Rodgers was an injury waiting to happen. Aaron Rodgers was jealous of Tom Brady and just wanted to "provide inputs" on player personnel. Even Brady didn't demand much (only Gronk and that crazy WR), but Rodgers demand his own OC, 2 WRs, and a OL. What exactly have they done own their own while Rodgers is injured? Going forwards, if no changes are made, no QB selection in next year's QB rich draft, nothing, then what happens next year? Another injury waiting to happen. Rodgers hasn't shown the adversity to sustain a full season going forward. We are back to where we are here.

If Woody let's Aaron play this year, behind that O-Line, he's a fool. The Jets are in a position to protect their massive investment in Rodgers so that they have him for next year and if they are fortunate maybe one more. He, like every player, is anxious to get back on the field an play, but he's one injury away from peace out and that would cost the team more than just a player. That's a formula for a multi-year rebuilding project under financial constraints.

I don't know if I can call any loss by the Jets embarrassing, they lost their starting QB the first series of the season. Teams usually don't bounce back from that, hell that's why all these good but not great QBs are getting so much money, the teams know the alternative is MUCH worse. Of the 10 highest paid QBs in the league, only 3 have one Super Bowls (Mahomes, Stafford and Russell Wilson almost a decade prior, two of those likely won't ever go back) , 2 have sniffed SBs (Hurts and Burrows) and the other 5 have a total of 6 playoff wins, and Josh Allen holds 4 of those wins. What happened last year with the 49ers just doesn't happen in the NFL, and the only reason that happened is the day 1 starter was worse than the back up QB, and the backup QB was worse than the 3rd string QB, hell Jimmy and Brock have as many playoff wins as those top 5 paid who have never gotten to the SB.
@drm3259
@drm3259 Жыл бұрын
Nah dude. What a loss of your starting QB the first series of the season does, is give you time to adjust things offensively to whoever will be taking the reigns. Nate Hackett is incapable of doing that. He only knows a super simple system that relies on a HOF QB to adjust the play and then throw the ball in 2 seconds. There's no pre-snap motion, we're not pitching the ball to the outside, just running it up the gut, the downfield shots we do take are like the Madden hail mary play, etc. It's the most pathetic, gutless, embarrassing playcalling and offensive coordination in the history of the franchise, and that's saying a lot.

@@drm3259 True for Hackett I'm sure, but the reality is Zach Wilson isn't good, that's not Hackett's fault, Tim Boyle doesn't look like an answer either. You simply can't win if you have to rely on your defense every week and have less than mediocre QB play. 2018 49ers, they lost Jimmy G early in the 3rd game, the season was OVER and that's with Shanahan making the calls and a really good defense too, ironically coached by Robert Saleh.

Rodgers has a superbowl win also. He joins Stafford, Wilson and Mahomes.

@@karenhardie1132 True, but Rodgers isn't a top10 paid QB either, hell Daniel Jones is paid more than him to show how absolutely bonkers the QBs have managed to make their point on the league.

@@Mike__B Zach Wilson is an unknown at this point, not because he was good this year - by and large he was AWFUL and I get his benching, but why you would draft a rollout vertical passer from college to be a dink and doink pocket passer in a system that requires the QB to be an OC, I'll never know. If a different team drafts him and puts him in motion it's possible he's serviceable. Even with all that, Wilson, Siemian and Boyle can all be bad and there's still no excuse to have the guy who made the Broncos the worst offense in the league (they look like one of the best now) and then he comes here and we're the worst offense in the league.

Can't we still just blame Zach Wilson? He was the real problem all along, at least that's the way everyone acted.

Fair. The Broncos did that to us, and the Eagles all but ended our season on Sunday. But at least it wasn’t a blowout like I thought it would be on Sunday.

Nathaniel Hackett's efforts are hard to see from the perspective of a football spectator. I don't see a method to play calling. It looks so random and ad hoc. It could even be the opposite = predetermined drives or part drives. Both are fails. The point is there is no apparent relationship between the play calling and the players skillset, game situation, play design or strategy. Key decision makers must take account of results. The O'line looks outmatched every game. Every game, little or no separation. Every game, many drops and missrun assignments. Every game offensive players are not on the same page, failed screens and an epidemic of moving the ball sideways at high risk. EVERY game means it is coaching. How much more evidence does the franchise need to see that Hackett is a glaring weak link in the organization?

The Fail Mary is from a Packers Seahawks game, where Russ throws a Hail Mary interception in the endzone that is incorrectly ruled a dual possession.

Even if Rogers gives the Jets two really good seasons, what is the plan going forward? Because it ain't Zach Wilson sitting behind Rogers then being a franchise QB for 15 years.

Draft mid round QB or sign. Have him sit down learn for Rodger’s then pass the rock to him when Aaron retires. We were suppose to do that with Zach but he was thrown into the fire when Aaron got hurt smh
