I agree Bobloss that GB could have closed it out but when they didn't Purdy still needed to get the job done and he did with, like Rich said, an artful level of play. GB was in the right coverage on almost that entire drive and he was slinging it and the OL was mauling that front.

As a Packers fan, I know, we were technically not even supposed to be in the playoffs and we were the seventh seat and we played blow for blow with the 49ers who were the first seat at first I didn't think we were gonna win. I thought it was gonna be a blow-out game. I thought the packers were not even gonna be competitive, and when they were in the lead, I was like, im just waiting for the heartbreak. im just waiting for it to happen, and of course, it happened. Every time. Still, I'm impressed with how well this young team played. And I'm looking forward to next year. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is potentially meeting the 49ers in the playoffs again next year. Edit: Also, the packers need a new field goal kicker. He's all right, but he's not consistent enough. He misses a lot of his field goal attempts, and he's also not consistent from 40 plus yards.

As a lifelong 49ers fan who watched Joe Montana in my youth and still think of Joe as the modern QB standard setter, I have been exceedingly impressed with Brock Purdy since he took over as QB1. When the national media refused to acknowledge the oustanding season Purdy has had, I compared Purdy to Montana in 1981. Purdy was superior across the board. Tonight I was curious and looked up the 1982 NFC Championship. I had forgotten, of course, that Montana threw 3 interceptions before The Catch. It may have been to Montana's advantage that on his way to his second SB MVP he had to listen to the national media gush over a younger QB who won an MVP after his first season as a starter. Similarly, I am ok if the national media keeps a chip on Purdy's should, fueling his drive and commitment. You all are wrong, and that should concern you, but go ahead an keep doing what you are doing. P.S. I wonder if the hype for Jordan Love, especially in the last week, played some part in his final pass that sealed the Packers defeat.

I looked at the Flacco play, I looked at the Love play. I don't understand that if you have been playing the game all your life, you don't know basic situational play. Clearly through the ball out of bounds when there is another 1 or 3 plays left. Why make throws you know that are reckless to cost your team.

Bottom line is the 49ers stepped when needing to, and coming through in the clutch.. The Packers did not, and that was the difference.. But the Pack played a good game... Love could have had 4 INT's as the 49ers dropped 2 as well.. But that of course is not emphasized...

Jordan Love deserves a lot of props, for sure - a terrific season. But it's weird how if the reverse happened, and Love brought the Packers back from behind to win the game, and it was Purdy who threw 2 INTS (including that terrible decision on the last one), they'd be ready to vote Love into the HOF. Purdy? "Aw, he was lucky." So strange how Purdy's treated. Is it because he's not 6'4"? The last pick in the 7th round? Not flashy enough? He continues to ball, break records, lead in QB stats, orchestrate a very complicated offense, and win while staying humble.

Bad commentary.. Purdy came through in the clutch, and Love did not.. Why the bias rather than looking at the game, and allowing the outcome to ensure you make a more accurate assessment of what happened.. Brock has been to 2 NFC championships games in a season and a 3rd as a starter... 7th round pick that is a leader... Most, including myself, wrote the 49ers off last year when Jimmy G. went down... Brock is a solid QB, and truly deserves more praise than he receives.. It felt like Kyle was calling a game he would have called for Jimmy. Watching Purdy throw flat-footed was stressing me out the entire game. When Purdy got opportunities to move around or, like on the last drive, started to bounce in the pocket as he scanned his progressions, he threw it better. That game stressed me out. At this point in the season, I'll take the win. Shanahan gets a 4th quarter "down by X" win. Purdy checks off 4th quarter comeback, game-winning drive, won in the elements, won without Deebo, won with his playmakers contributing more to drops than YAC.

The rain played a major part in that.

A very stressful game but the 49ers kept focused and came out to make a win! Both teams are good and it was fighting until the end!

The delay of game that wasn’t called on the 49ers TD drive, the bad spot on the 4&1 for jordan love. I’m over these refs. All BS. But i’m still proud of my packers. We really won

bad spot? lafluer could have challenged it but he didn't. why? because he knew it was the right call. his up stairs booth probably told him you are not winning that challenge. they had chances to win but love literally threw it away. want to talk about lucky? love should have had 3-4 ints this game but he got lucky just like brock got lucky. it is what it is. sometimes luck is all you need or sometimes you need a qb to lead a game winning drive when it matters the most.

New rule this year. It was automatically reviewed because it’s a “turnover” and the spot was upheld.
