Just because I'm reading/searching articles about roids, doesn't necessarily mean I want to do them, - I want to know and understand it as much as possible.

Overtraining is real people. It is a medical term and can be diagnosed by a sports doctor and results in hospitalisation. People need to learn the difference between this and temporary overreaching. Feeling tired and sore is in no way overtraining. If you go and do 5x5 squat, bench and deadlift every single day, you will end up in an overtrained state no matter how much you're sleeping or eating

Rich Piana likes to say there is no such thing as over training, but he even admits to it existing, just doesn't say it flat out. He mentions having to listen to your body. Overall, very good video on natural training. Ric's Corner is one of the best bodybuilding channels on youtube.
@AnabolicGod10 жыл бұрын
overtraining exists, but not like people think. You basically can't get overtrained in the gym. And if you get overtrained, you will be out for MONTHS. Not two or three days.
@NSSTalks10 жыл бұрын
TheImp Over training isn't necessarily one thing or another, and yes, you can over train in the gym. There are some good videos of it online. There are also very good demonstrations of various types of over training. The very first levels of over training will not harm you at all, but it will cause your gains to suffer slightly. The more you over train, the more your gains will suffer, and eventually it can lead to either injury or too great of fatigue to the CNS.
@AnabolicGod10 жыл бұрын
Noblet Street Soccer and More No, can't overtrain doing regular bodybuilding. And if you reach a point of overtraining it's because of lack of rest and nutrition.
@NSSTalks10 жыл бұрын
TheImp Wrong. Even heavily enhanced bodybuilders can over train, it's just harder.There is an optimal amount of stimulation the muscle needs for growth, and that's all you should do. Doing any more isn't beneficial, and after a point you could harm yourself physically.
@emreuludogann10 жыл бұрын

I trained in the begining in the 6-8 rep range and it made me grow rapidly but after a few years the size gains stopped and all I got was strength gains. I lightened up the weight, started working in the 10-15 rep range with the occasional 8,6 or 1 rep set and it's been working good. Low rep high intensity builds muscle well but I think it is overused. A lot of heave hoing going on

Ive trained with Rich, seen him hit back and shoulders, he never goes below 10 reps! And take it from me, i've met almost all the huge IFBB pros, Phil, Kai, Dorian in his prime, Ronnie and trust me when I say, Rich dwarfs ALL of them. I mean, when Rich is talking face to face with Shawn Rhoden and makes Shawn look like a child you know he has some serious size!! Moral of the story.... pumping the muscle and going for higher reps does work! Don't be naive however and think that it works for everyone, Rich is talking about himself. You may need the old fashioned 6-8 reps to grow, you may need 10-15. Everyones 'genetics' are different....

I like to combo with 3 heavy sets, 3 high rep sets and 3 HIT sets then 3 sets of pump. But...WTF...there really is no secret other than CONSISTENCY. Def went through some changes in appearance quite rapidly after this. His lifestyle started taking its toll. Diet, sleep deprivation, drugs, foreign substances, they all make changes to the body on a fundamental level, combine that with the resulting damage of natural aging and it can come about quickly and drastically. Take care of your body people. Everything you put in it will have an effect, good or bad. Learn about gut microbiota/health, how vital it is to overall physical and mental health, gene expression and how diet makes actual changes to your genes(good or bad depending on what you eat, take, do), even genes passed down to your children, and sleep, you don't wanna be sleep deprived. Time gets us all, but what we do has a huge influence on when and how.

Honestly Ric, I'm a young dude, and I consider myself very well-informed, trained and educated on training, building muscle etc. But, and that's me stopping my boasting haha, from your videos, your honesty, your straight-forwardness (if that's even a word), I've gained so much knowledge. You treat every subject by asking and answering all the questions that a kid like me wants to know about. I am thankful, without this medium, and your willingness, I'd be even more ignorant than I am. Thank you

Solid intellect and personality Rich Piana, and also I've noticed he has high social skill control. I'm impressed and he got my respect.
