Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language period drama television series created by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The series is about the lives of tawaifs at the red-light district of Heera Mandi in Lahore during the Indian independence movement against the British Raj. It stars Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Sharmin Segal. Bhansali and Mitakshara Kumar serve as directors.
Richa Chadha (born 18 December 1986) is an Indian actress who works in Hindi cinema. She made her acting debut with a small role in the comedy film Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! (2008), Chadha's breakthrough came in 2012 with a supporting role in the crime film Gangs of Wasseypur, in which her role as the bellicose and foul-tongued wife of a gangster earned her the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress.

This interview was like two friends having a relaxed conversation. Richa brings a such refreshing presence, and her portrayal in Heermandi resonated deeply with me. The emotion she conveys through her eyes is remarkable. I've revisited the episodes featuring her performance twice. There are few actors who are in my view as the same caliber as Sridevi and Richa is one of those rare ones. Richa, your authenticity both on and off camera is visible. Bhansali is confusing Lahore with Hyderabad, Ouadh or Lucknow. Lahore has always been a Punjabi city. You guys are totally ignorant about Pakistani regions, its race, culture, languages, geography and ethnic make up. Please stick to subjects that pertain to India. Pakistani regions were part of British created India for less than 100 years, in its over 5000 years of history. Bharat is a lie concocted by Vivkenanda, Gwaliar, Arya Smaj, RSS etc schools of thought , in late 1800's. Under which all regions under British rule were hallucinated as one ancient Bharat that never existed. lol. No European, Russian, isreali, Japanese scholar, historian has ever verified the existent of Bharat. The term India was creation of Europeans for South Asian regions just like they created the word AFrica. It seems like Sanjay ne apni budsurrat neice ko promote kerne ke liya Netflix ko loot liya hai.

Film production creates a lot of waste. Whether its copies of hundred-page scripts, unworn costumes, the energy used to light up sets or the flights to remote filming locations, almost every element of film production creates a negative environmental impact
