Blumenthal doesn't know what he's talking about... He's grasping at straws. Just because a Good Process is on paper, does NOT mean the process will be followed. There is still HUMAN FAILURE to deal with. Every Inspector has a NOSE & an OPINION.... & they are not perfect. It's all about attitude of the employee, the management & Inspection. As long as management doesn't know the JOB, their will be problems...

Part of the quality issue is in the implementation of the new designs, instead of a new aircraft they reinvented the wheel, as a result, the production line produces alot of scrap, the managers then use this to create a revolving door to keep the payrates down while only keeping people ther rub shoulders with, getting rid of anyone close to max out or that have outside certifications, this leaves the floor with trained employees that don't have enough experience.

Not "controversial" - DISASTEROUS !!! Boeing's "profit driven" Management has, always, used Intimidation & Retaliation to achieve their pay points in the manufacturing "process", while the FAA looks the other way !!! Boeing's so called "Safety Culture" is an Absolute FANTASY !!!
