I wish I had heard this 25 years ago. I got married and adopted her 3 year old. Raised her as my own. Took her camping, sailing, skiing. Taught her about philosophy, art, music and film. I paid for her college. Boom, divorce 2 months before her college graduation. I was asked to sit away from her "family" by my ex.. Step daughter hasnt responded to me in 5 years. And that's precisely the (privilege for women) problem of females, that has fucked over countless males longer than we've been humans. Women don't mate across and up. They only mate up. And the only reason why they'll mate across is through insecurity issues (she thinks she's mating up) or through "enforced monogamy" (because of the culture). Women has always leeched good qualities from males. From banging smart and strong men, they get smart and strong children without even lifting a finger to begin with. The other problem with his "genius" idea to date across or up is many fold. Stats show that when women make more money they are twice as likely to have an affair, more likely to leave the relationship, etc... and if he thinks you wont have to keep her lifestyle up because she makes nearly as much if not more money, think again. Most women make less money after their 30s than before, while most men are making more money after their 30s than before, and this includes those "hard working" female managers who supposedly love their job. They dont age as well as men, they will want to focus on family/social side more, they want less stress, etc... and you will be expected to make up the loss in income, and if she divorces you after she has reduced her wages to have her balanced life, then you will be back to being with somebody below your level. You may get lucky and she leaves you while you are making less money and you get some small alimony, but its still too rare to be a worthy stat and you are still at a loss of resources and out of the work game because you were likely slacking because you expected her to keep up her game forever. I have seen too many guys who think they found that special woman and 5 years later found out it wasnt so, too late.
