Richard Hammond Throws The Keys To His 530bhp Subaru To His Daughter Izzy!

Izzy Hammond recently went for a drive in her dad's 530bhp Subaru, so we made sure to capture as many behind the scenes moments as possible!

What a lovely video! Smiles and laughs all the way through, as with the main video. Izzy might really have a future as a car presenter, and with Richard at her back there is a sense of safety and a symbolic «passing of the torch». Great stuff guys!

Shes got a great personality and shes entertaining to watch, I'm not sure she really has the knowledge or interest (i mean, if you're interested in cars you should know what a turbo does) to do automotive journalism though. At least, not in a way that appeals to people who have a true passion for cars.

I'm thrilled to see Izzy has the same unique presentation style as Richard. as a long time Top Gear and Grand Tour fan, I've always felt the only way to keep this style of presentation and character is for someone in the family to be the next generation of automotive reviewers and journalists! great job!

Richerd and Izzy have something here. There's a show in this. It's a bit rough as-is, but that's not a bad thing. The father daughter thing works wonderfully. Izzy has a super personality for this too. Richard, in the new role of elder statement (sotospeak) of driving imparting his knowledge (minus the wheels facing skyward) is fun to watch. It's just wholesome.

I watched the main channel's video with a constant amused expression & thought "well done...." I then watched this version & spent almost the entire runtime lol & frequently had to swallow my drink before busting out laughing resulted in my needing to pause the video whilst I cleaned the sprayed drink off the PC/keyboard/desk/cats etc.

I just love how Izzy has the same sense of humour as her dad. The end result is they can bounce off of each other really easily. Also, as a relatively new dad (sons 2 and a bit, second is on the way), I can only hope to have such a healthy relationship with my children when they're older.

The indicators and windshield wipers are on the correct side for America. Also I love how Japanese cars beep while in reverse. That makes it harder to accidentally try and go forward in Reverse gear.

Just for the record Richard, that's your fault, you told her she was only allowed to drive it for today, and never again, so of course she pushed the turbo and broke it. She knew she wouldn't get another chance to push it hard.
