Yh it's rather interesting. It would've been a bad idea for him to put Richard III as a hero in his play, because Queen Elizabeth I was reigning at the time, so he had to impress her by showing that Richard III was a bad man and that her grandfather (Henry VII) was right to take the crown from him. If he had Richard III as the hero, Shakespeare probably would've died earlier... well, Liz was a very difficult woman to please

I'm just being silly, I like the US version of drunk history, but there's a lot more to parody over there, thousands of years more of stuff to parody. I hope one day yall will get the US version (if you havent) and I hope the US gets the UK version eventually, since they both are pretty good. Most of what we believe about Richard 3rd is from Shakespeare who was born and 70 years after he died and lived in the Tudor period and the tudors hated richard. Evidence now shows richard was actually a very caring uncle who loved his nephews very much. And was as much a victim in the murder of the small boys as they were.
