The more you listen to this song the more you realize how amazing the singer truly is as well as the pianist. I felt like they were the outliers with the most on the line and they f’ng nailed it!

Yooo Rich you actually enjoyed it!? I'm actually shocked man hahaha. Knew Adam would enjoy it but I love hearing opposing thoughts especially people who don't listen to prog at all. I think what makes this song so good imo is that I've seen people who are primarily into metalcore, deathcore, or even non metal enjoy this song too. It's accessible and technically efficient enough to appeal to both casual listeners and music snobs. Classically trained yes. Berkely apparently. The thing I forgot to mention in my reaction was the guitarists held their guitars classically thumb on back, not over the fret. That got hammered into my head when I was "taught" by a classically trained friend.

I can’t describe my love for this song tbh. Absolutely incredible. Got emotional at the end too. For the classically trained part, they all went to Berklee where John Petrucci, John Myung and Mike Portnoy went haha. I think I heard somewhere they all went to Berkley for music (I think) . I personally dont think you need education to write amazing music or anything because its all emotions and preference but I really felt like the transitions and everything just felt smooooth and the musicianship to be able to write this from the start was impressive to me. Solid song!!

I really enjoyed the second half of the song a lot more than the first half, I can’t really pinpoint why, but also I think time seeing everyone comment “this is the song of the year” primed this song to have too high of expectations for me to like it, I enjoyed it, but Trilogy by Silent Planet is my song of the year
