We miss Richard Pryor, he spoiled us all with real funny jokes, funny comedians are hard to come by nowadays. I've heard many comedians do their thang and none of them match the comfort Pryor offers telling his jokes. I think, that is the quality he has, he makes you feel you are listening to a close friend telling funny stories you were present when happening, and now you are there connecting them. What a quality to have, whenever I get a chance, I enjoy Pryor's comedic skits on youtube. RIP

I lived in Los Angeles fifty four years. I had the chance to be in the presence of two funny men...Flip Wilson and Richard Pryor. I was in the 1979 Columbia Pictures roller disco movie Skatetown USA. Flip Wilson, along with Billy Barty played the father son duo as owners of the roller rink in the movie. Flip Wilson, in between takes, had the whole set laughing our asses of with his jokes, and I mean non stop! The guy was just amazingly funny. When the director of the movie, who was William A. Levy would say "cut", Flip would start with his jokes! Maaaan, what a time we all had. Now Richard Pryor would perform @ the Wiltern theater @ Wilshire and Western Avenues in LA. I would go to his performances. If I'm not mistaken, the theater had 500 seats? Anyway, when he would start telling his jokes, I would guess about 150 of us would be on the floor rolling and laughing our assssses off. I have to admit that one time I pissed all over my self...I totally lost control! And I bet some one else or others did too! The guy was totally funny...sticking his tongue out...making funny faces...poking himself in the ear etc etc. We will never have another two guys like Flip or Richard, never again and they are sorely missed. I do have three of Richard's albums and when I want to laugh, I put them on the turntable, and look out, hell i'm laughing!

HE lead the way for all those how came after him like Eddie Murphy,Sam Kinion,Bill Hicks,Dave Chapelle, and all the rest of the late 20th and 21st century comedians. Pryor broke every barrier known, talked about everything form rasicm to politics. Richard Pryor is and forever will be the true God of comedy. Blessed Be
