I still remember watching 10k pyramid or some game show MANY years ago (seems like 30 years ago) and Flip had to come up with a poem about kids on the spot. About 30 seconds later he said, "When your kid is not walking or talking, you worry, you fret, and you frown. But when they turn two, its all you can do, to get them to shut up and sit down." So impressive that I never forgot it.

I did a good impression of Flip, people would laugh 😂😂😂! I worked in a club where he was performing. He would sit by him self before showtime and write what ever he was going to say, I asked him why did he close his eyes 👀, because he didn’t want to look out at the audience, not to be distracted. Watched Flip Wilson every week.two of the best.i remember watching this when it aired on tv funny then and funny know but also inspiring,the world needs more of Flip and Richard's thanks for posting this i forget how to laugh i wish we had more like these two would make for a better world. 😀 laughter is good for the soul.

Two of the greats Flip's Reverend Leroy was a hit his and Richard's comedy was unmatched. It was ashamed Richard's show was cut short It was so cool seeing the variety of Flip's characters esp Leroy and Geraldine

I had forgotten this particular show in 1974. It was great to see it again. Boy, did I love Flip's show. It was priceless; always. My brother in law grew up with Richard and lived in the same neighborhood as Richard in Peoria, IL and he said Richard was hilarious even as a child.

Every once in a while I stumble across A Classic Comedy Bit like this by Two of the Best Stand-Up Comedians to ever do it.I Love the way RICHARD PRYORr.i.p.would remain in Character by covering His Face calmly with his Hankerchief to avoid Bursting into Laughter whole FLIP WILSONr.i.p.was Doing His Sermon.Both Sermons pretty much covers what's going on around us today,Both in Entertainment and The World as A Whole.They kept the Focus of Their Art on Making the Entire Audience even til this very day Laugh Together.Love&Peace

RICHARDr.i.p.gets to FLIPr.i.p.as well.Its hard to Look at RICHARD PRYORr.i.p.without laughing.When FLIP First named the 3 biblical figures he changed third one name to Big Black Negro.Then as He went on He named them correctly.Check it out...The standard that these Comedians set can't be duplicated.Comedy Fans who had a taste of this has Grown and Moved on.They get dressed up now to go to Comedy Concerts to actually Laugh at Many of Todays' Comedians.Love&Peace

Flip Wilson is an Icon. He was and is to me the Classic Comedian and TV showman. I have all the Flip Wilson shows. Grew up with Flip. My Mothers name was Geraldine 🇮🇱❤️
