New subscribers, we found you through Vivi's channel. We don't chat or comment but do give you thumbs up and watch all your videos. Since finding your channel, we both line up to watch your new videos as soon as you put them out. We love the fact you act like yourselves and don't fluff the titles or care for the fake clickbait stuff, it's so refreshing. A loyal base and community is the most important aspect for future success, even if it takes longer to get there. Keep up the good work, your channel and loyal following will grow into a strong channel! We will be watching and rooting for you both.

That’s a very poor return on time invested. If you both get personal satisfaction from your loyal core, please consider adding a voluntary(anonymous, if that’s a thing) “buy me a cuppa” button. To many of us the entertainment and companionship value of your vids are worth a tip of thanks. I’ve posted the same to Vivi. Health & happiness are paramount, tho. Life is short. ❤ P.S. your summers sound like Seattle, WA in the US. The Emerald State. Fabulous cool weather gardening there. No need for AC. Fireplaces in the winter. “Never, ever did I” take a sunny day for granted!!! I think I’d like England.😊

How shocking to hear that the income from your channel has dropped so drastically over the past few months, Richard. I'm so sorry to hear this when it's so evident that you and Paul work very hard producing such wonderful videos for all of our enjoyment. We all appreciate the effort and hard work you put in and love your channel. I do hope that things pick up soon and you start to receive an income that is reflective of all time and work you put into your channel.☺️ Wonderful news to hear that security has left your work place now. That must be such a relief for you. Yes, the weather is certainly frustrating. It’s interesting to hear what’s going on in the background with KZbin. There always seems to be a way for these big companies to slit the throat of the little guy. We had wondered why a number of the people we watch had gone to twice weekly 30min videos instead of once weekly hour long jobs. You’ve become a wonderful addition to our weekly lives and we’re really grateful for all your efforts. You’re better men than me, personally I couldn’t be assed.

A lot of KZbinrs are finding they're not getting the same money for the same amount of content. Somebody is being cheap with their change. If storms got you views, maybe a compilation video? Sunrises, sunsets, weird clouds and UFOs in the sky? Heck, I'd watch, "Nothing special tonight. Here's what we're cooking for dinner." I wish more people would watch your videos because I wouldn't want you to change anything. I love all the sections of Sunday Chat. But if it isn’t paying, you have to perhaps seek other means. I would be sad if you left, but I'd understand. Hopefully, more people will watch.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts re KZbin payments. I was very naive when I first took to watching YT, around the time of Covid, and never realised there was monetary payments to KZbinrs. I thought people just wanted to share their experiences with viewers. Now I am more aware of that side of things, and agree you’re not paid enough for all the effort you and Paul do. As you know I really enjoy my weekends catching up with you both and love you being yourselves which can be funny, sad and thoroughly enjoyable. I find so called click bate channels boring and begin to watch through curiosity, and then stop and don’t return. With your channels I have never stopped and long may it continue. Be kind to yourselves and look forward to seeing you both on Sunday Chat ❤

Thank you Richard for sharing another "Daily Vlogs" video. I really enjoy hearing you talk and sharing your life so honestly. I have said it before but I relate to both of you so comfortably your like old high school chums! It is nice to hear perspectives from people of the same era. I do think you and Paul do too much content for youtube, so much work! I am sure if you cut back you would still have your loyal followers. That said, I love all the videos you both produce. The weather at the moment is so frustrating isn’t it. You do have a lovely garden but it does take time and energy which is hard when you are working. Appreciate you talking about the KZbin situation. So annoying that the income has dropped without a good reason.

I enjoy your vlogs Richard because it’s like sitting down with a chum and having a cuppa. That sounds quite presumptuous I guess, but I appreciate the time, energy and effort each week that you put in to the weekly show. It is exasperating for you both and dear Vivi too that all your hard work and endeavours are so poorly rewarded, money wise. This seems to be the case with quite a few small, “niche” channels and it is fundamentally very unfair. I hope the tide changes. Meanwhile, you are very much appreciated, admired and dare I say, adored lol. Much love from a rather overcast Brighton x

If you have a small limited life can you just imagine how dull our lives are! LOL. Now I know you didn't ask for suggestions but I have a couple anyway! With your garden filming, you could just film and add a voice over when you edit. That way the neighbors will never know. Also, and this is no criticism, but your cooking videos, as much as I enjoy them, are limited to people with instapots. If you were to open it up to normal stove top or oven cooking you would be appealing to a much larger audience. Just an observation.

Thank you. I have done narration over gardening clips....I think I did it over a segment last week...it's OK for short clips, but can be a little tricky over longer segments. As for the cooking videos I think there are over 60 videos that are oven and stove top recipes in our back catalogue - we've only done 9 instant pot specific videos.

When you have to push yourself to continue doing videos, it will be time to hang it up. I hope for everyone's sake, that won't be for a long time. You both make my week happier, and I for one, really appreciate your efforts at entertaining all of us. It was fun watching you, Paul and Vivi last week. I wish I could be there since you all look so relaxed and happy. I get inspired by all the cleaning you talk about in your videos. I realize I could be more on top of my cleaning schedule. I love to do a deep clean when the windows can be open to bring in fresh air to breathe. I love watching your daily vlogs because it's like listening to one of my brothers talk about their day.

I noticed this too, the mystery of a shorter working week can appear to be more tiring and problematic than a full working week. On a cheery note your music at about 35 mins is lovely and relaxing and fitted so well with the cloudy skyline. Perfect.

Hear, hear to your whole first section! The drop in revenue from YT is shocking and disheartening. One of my videos last month only made £9.60........for about 10 hours work! It's a dilemma when the effort/reward is so out of balance! Hahaha......green waste in your pjs! Yay for a day to potter. 😊 Ugh, this weather is getting boring (and enervating!)......where's the sun and warmth??!! Side bush......snigger, snigger. It IS a lovely bush. Awww, I so love your garden. 💖 Darn, if I lived closer I would happily do the garden for you! Oooooh, the deliciousness of an afternoon nap, yes! And yay for timee and space for creativity. Thoroughly enjoyable catch-up lovely.....and not at all too long. XXX

A few of my fav you tubers have stopped because of lack of growth,burnout,trolls etc plus poor monetary return…..it’s a shame but understandable….i can’t personally afford to support anyone financially but I do watch,don’t skip the adverts and try to engage….i found you through a houseplant video!

When big companies change the goal posts it is so annoying. E.g.You Tube reducing your payments then your workplace not giving you adequate leave. All part of the same syndrome - complete lack of concern for workers. Anyone else remember being paid overtime when one did overtime? And being thanked for it!

I think the vloggers with more subscribers can be a victim of their own success. Content is lost to relentless advert interruption etc… and product placement which really irritates me because it becomes contrived instead of “real & genuine” I sincerely hope you realise this and stick with it. I find your personalities authentic. I particularly enjoy when you talk about the realities of life… loss… work stress… I actually came upon you from one of your earlier vlogs on using a sewing machine!! Which I still need to work on 😂 I like you’re both individual and aren’t materialistic etc… keep at it! Also,,, if I was a You Tuber… I’d like a lot of other Top influencers and comment! You may draw attention to your channel that way… like, like, like!! 😉👍

Oh my goodness, that risotto sounds delicious! Thank you for the amount of work that you do bringing us your videos. I am a fairly recent subscriber of a few months, but I'm happy I found you. Has bringing a weekly standalone video rather than daily ones helped at all? Personally I enjoy the standalone format as I can use it as a break time with a cup of tea without feeling guilty. I can see how disheartening it must be putting so much time and effort in for no real reward, and if you decided to step back a bit and post less often to achieve a better life balance I would be completely happy with whatever you chose to put out, rather than lose you altogether.

KZbin doesnt reward smaller channels which is such a shame as i love the more individual content. I absolutely love what you and Paul produce and so wish you were better rewarded and Vivi too.
