I listen to this while decluttering my desk ;) My setup is simple enough when properly cleaned and arranged; a laptop, a book and a notebook (sometimes a sketchbook) piled one on top of the other, and my personal journal to the side. And of course a lamp. I'm happy that way!

My desk setup is quite open and has things spread out, I used to have everything be black, but I started to make more of my accessories brighter to make it blend in less. My monitor, desk, webcam, and speakers are black, but my other accessories are brighter shades and colors. I figured out that whatever I don't want to focus on all the time such as the monitor stand, and speakers should stay black to hide better, but I like customizing keyboards and mice which is why I decided to make my collection pop out more I recently bought a new mouse called the Lofree touch in a tofu-beige color for that reason! I really like this video! It reminded me I had the book in my room lol

You seem to have pretty much dispensed with a lot of the liturgy and other bits and bobs that you had when I first started watching your videos over as year ago now. You mentioned or implied distancing yourself from the church in various places and now seem to be largely concerned with other things. I've had a similar turnover, except instead of Christian liturgy etc I've returned to sitting meditation twice a day as my 'prayer life' and am continuing to explore Buddhism in much more detail. If you don't mind me pocking my nose in, have you completely dispensed with a spiritual practice or is it just something you feel less inclined to share/talk about?

There are two parts to the quiesence. First, although the prayerbook videos were popular, relatively for my small channel, they I also felt that they were too much of a smorgasbord. Secondly, like you, perhaps, I have been in a listening period. However, I have finally gotten to a sort of soft landing in Orthox Christianity, but I don't yet know how that might play out. I am working on a video about how old and new thought patterns confront each other. At least the thinking keeps me busy. How or if it might be a video is yet to be seen. (I should also mention that most of those books I still have, just as e-books, which take up less space and are much more portable.

@@dalecaldwell I think I see where you are coming from. My practice seems to have a rhythm, sometimes being more overt and affected, more 'religious' so to speak, and other times, like now, where it's more low key and receptive. I suppose I've come to terms with Christianity for the time being, although I don't go to Church it is part of my cultural background and childhood programming for better or worse so completely excising it doesn't seem likely, so I just treat it like an old jumper, it has a few holes but occasionally it's a comfortable thing to wear.
