Back in the early 1980s, I toured Europe playing guitar with Peter Rowan. I kept hearing, "Your playing sounds like Richard Thompson." "Yeah, cheers", i responded, having know idea who this fellow was. . Then one night I was at a Scottish castle owned by a very drunk aristocrat of some sort. He put this song on from the Richard & Linda Thompson LP of the same name, "Who", I asked is that?" "That my friend, is Richard fucking Thompson." my inebriated new friend replied. I wanted to go back a kiss the hand of each person of every person who had likened my playing to his. Been a fan ever since.

You know what is sad? I have played guitar for over 30 years and I had no clue this guy even existed before he was on the cover of guitar player mag a couple of years ago. He is absolutely incredible!

Very cool bass solo at about 3:30! I wish the audio quality was better. Richard rips out several awesome solos on this performance!

Fucking incredible playing by all three. That drummer is the truth, and I don't think anything needs to be said about Richard's inhuman guitar playing

Pulp Fiction the drive in scene background a thundering intro Shoot out over and over no singing just the thunder Richard must have enjoyed the contrast all sound/ feel. Hope he was paid well. Only scene Revolta looked good.

Michael Jerome. He's the drummer from Better Than Ezra. Mighty fine drummer.

he's very impressive. richard's band can be at times hit or miss. gerry conway never did it for me like dave did. this jerome guy has chops and swing.
