7 years later, just a few months ago, I saw him live and he still is one of the best. Alive or dead

I have no idea how Richard Thompson got together with with them ‘J.Shit Boys,’ but I’ll go out on a limb, and say I bet Thompson felt better about the idea of doing that, afterwards, at least a little bit more than he did just before he first plugged his guitar in up there. I imagine he was confident that it would go well though, he probably saw Val playing with Jackson Browne at least once in the last 20 years, so was pretty sure it would be fun. ‘Sure as Shit’ looked & sounded like it was fun for them all.

And Jackshit, just SO DAMN CAPABLE here. As fun and funny as they are, the bedrock is their superb musicianship. What a terrific performance of a special song, justice served all 'round.

It's been said before, but can be said again: Beau Shit, Shorty Shit, and Pete Shit -- bringing Cochtotan's special sauce to a waiting world.

Been following his success since Fairport. Seen him multiple times, luckily. He's one of those artists that you just automatically buy their album. No question. Reading the biography now. "Strange Affair" by Patrick Humphries
