When you said his damage is mitigated by cover it reminded me of my favorite. Run in circles around a large object. The trader pod in the prison court yard is ridiculously effective

I always find Patty to be a crapshoot on high difficulties. He does so much damage with every attack, and can melt you in seconds.

I managed to solo him once on suicidal as last player (on spillway) but it's stressful, if you don't get round a hallway's corner in time, minigun is sure to finish you

Use map geometry, renders him fairly useless. Always be close to something you can run/hide behind. Break LoS as often as possible.

Firebug for me!......Patriarch HATES fire.....somehow people forget that. Also Demo is probably the Most powerful...couple shots, he runs for a heal, I just let him use All his heals, and I still got TONS of ammo left. Only problem is, when you're Demo, he comes FOR you specifically....because you're capable of killing him quickly, and he Knows it....so you really gotta stay Waaayy back and snipe him with rockets.

The patriarch is probably the most inconsistent boss in the game; you either wreck him before the first heal or face all 3 heals and probably not win unless you don't chase after him. I don't think I've ever seen someone get him on the second or third run away

One time in around, suicidal mode My co-op team managed to kill him in the first run cause everyone was using powerful weapons and he runned in a place where he was still exposed for around 15 second, enough to put all the ammo till his death

Another excellent, extensive guide Richard. However I do have a few questions about how aggro works in the game. I imagine it has to do with proximity and damage dealt, could you make some content on this topic if/when you have the time? For example: does healing affect aggro? Do different types of damage cause more or less aggro, what about bashing etc,etc.

I have around 105 hours in this game and so far, i think its save to say that the Patriach is the toughest boss in the game. So many instant kill attacks, reliable heals and cloaking. Your video does a great job on educating people on how to deal with him!

Corners are your friend. Though I will admit, he's the hardest boss in co-op because a lot of times teams get themselves killed and then the last 1 or 2 players simply don't have the ammo to deal with him. Hence the advice of "decide whether you are going to chase or hole up and wait for him to return" rings true, and is something the entire team must decide on (especially in a six man crew)

AA-12 is my personal favorite....he really seems to Hate getting shot by it...and if he Rushes you, just walk backwards and keep Hammering away, 95% of the time, he Retreats, or attacks another player. You can even attack from a Good medium range away, and still chip away at his health fast...he still seems irritated, even at a distance.....just the way "fire" bothered him in KF1.

there is a preaty fun way to take down patric, when he tryes to flee. All team stand close to him and dont let him to run.

What I usually do is cover him in c4 as much as I can and wait until zed time to detonat them to do extra damage or when he runs aways with a short life

Yeah, the Stoner is a fantastic weapon, as long as you have Tactical Reload. Otherwise, it's a bit too slow to reload and cumbersome to use, even if it does hit like a dumpster going at Mach 10.

What's your secret to having smooth gameplay! All mt games with nothing running the backround have little micro stutters. Using 1080 strix 8 gig Vram, i5 9600k 5 ghz cpu and 16 gig ram! I feel like these older games I should run totally fine at 1440p medium to high but it just always stutters! I'm a task manager freak and always eliminate what I can! Any help from anyone would be grateful!

Don't be a hero...keep your distance...if you dish Too much damage too quickly, he will come for YOU...and ignore teammates....and it takes a Ton of damage to get him to back off the rage attack!.....see lots of people get killed that way.
