Thank you Richard for making a point to say that fish of that size need to be supported from the back when being handled! So many people want that hold from the jaw photo but don’t think of what it’s doing to that fish. Thank you for spreading good information and good content !

How funny, I was watching some of your videos about cat fishing with bluegill earlier today. I've never been catfishing really but I have the tackle and equipment to do it. I just got in a little bit ago, had a 50+ pound flathead break me off. Came home, and saw you had posted another video doing the same thing. Thanks for putting out great content. I'd love to get a chance to catch some cats with you. Bass and crappie and sandbass are all I've ever really fished for until now.

Now I want to see a "Fishing for Big Drum" video. Thanks for turning the Bite/Line indicator off! It always gets me when people leave the "clicker" on thinking that's the way the reel is supposed to sound, thanks. I've got an old Mitchel spinning reel that has one, we'd use it fishing the mud flats in an estuary after dark.

Nico Hamblin oh man, he’s freakin hilarious.. The first video I ever seen I thought he was some drunk acting like a fool in the parking lot by the river. Then he went and caught about 30 blue gill in just a few minutes. I was hooked on the channel ever since.

Years ago chasing blues on the Missouri River by Omaha I caught several drum in that 15 lb range . I tell you when they turn sideways in 4 mph current and try to run to the middle they'll make a fella yell Woo. Stay well Sir.

Man Richard you were really tearing those catfish up! I'm going to try that technique of how you hook your bluegill on the bottom side next time I go catfishing with live bluegill. It looks like it works really good. Great videos always keep on doing your thing man!

I could have hooked you up with enough bait for 5yrs today if you were my neighbor here in Arkansas Richard. Our 6 acre pond turned over this morning and we had small bream/ crappie all over the pond at the top of the water gasping for air. But I managed to save around 100 catfish so we’re going to have one heck of a fish fry! Woo! Lol

I know you catch and release, but like many others, i always threw away drum growing up. I dont anymore :) Fillet the drum, cut off the red blood line and meat. Then use Tempura batter and deep fry. It taste just like Capt. Ds fish. it is very mild, very white flaky meat. Very good :)

i have a reel just like the one you caught the drum with. I caught a 30 pound blue with it.
