Thanks for taking us fishing, Richard - I always look forward to your videos. You've taught me a lot. I've been fishing at a spring fed farm pond recently, and I think of you every time I hook up a big bass. I used your technique of using a whole big worm to catch bluegill, and I caught some of the largest bluegill I've ever seen. I can't fish with my dad anymore, but I sure enjoy going fishing with you!

Richard, I don't want to sound like I am pounding on you or anyone because I'm not, and this is something I didn't know for years myself, but your in a position to educate. People grab bass by the bottom lip and hold them up by opening their mouth and placing their whole weight on their jaw causing damage and making it impossible for them to eat after being released, even though people think they are letting them go unharmed. The larger the bass the more likely it is to damage the jaw as more weight on the tiny bones. Ever since I found this out I have made it a point to tell all the fishermen I know, as I know they want those fish that are released to live to be caught again another day. Love your videos! Keep them coming!

Richard, in northern Ohio the water is about 44°, big baits aren't going to do a thing but swim around. Small is the way to fish right now. Gain a few more degrees and things will change a little.

We use them balloons to float shad away from boat when striper fishing. They get boat weary when there being hit hard. Plus at dam we have log boom across mouth of gut dams in, and the fish feed like crazy, right in that churning water, and bust like crazy. Well take balloon and blow it up pretty good size, coz bigger it is further it'll drift from boat with not so much wind, float that thing right up to edge of that turbulent water and you gonna catch fish . Catfish, white perch, bass, stripers, walleyes when we had em decent, I mean they turn on. There's fish at that dam that is scary big. You always hear abut divers seeing catfish as big as Volkswagen, and I think that's about like sasquatch but there is some better then average fish there that's for sure. All of em is bigger then average up against that dam. I think those fish live right there in that gut year round. They'll pull up to feed when there generating and back to middle suspended or some glued to bottom when they ain't. I'd love to be able to get closer to it and graph. It. Just to see the school's of fish. I know they stay close to that dam. Maybe I'm wrong. But if I had to bet you know.

Just want your opinion on cold fronts and how they effect fish there Mr.Richard Gene!!! So say in April like now, you have fish on beds, males mainly, you'll see few females up when there laying eggs, but they move on pretty quick in my experience. It's been 60 plus in day time. Not lower then say 50 52 degrees. Then you have 3 nights of 40 to 45 degree weather, your bed fish pull off, except the bucks that are guarding eggs the female has done laid, they stay in my experience. Where do you think those fish go, do they move off deep, suspend? Disappear and come back later, what? Just think itd be good topic of discussion. Those fronts effect all fish from my experience except for what I've seemed to notice and that's stripers. Just curious.
