I have all these trading books, yet I come here. This stuff is phenomenal for beginner traders. 🤯.

Very helpful Richard. I am currently figuring out how to build my weekly watchlist. I use finviz and IBD lists but don't have Marketsmith yet. Still working out the best way to go about it. Thanks for all you are doing with these videos.

Glad you found it helpful! Finviz and IBD are powerful tools. No matter the workflow its about what makes sense for you! Take care Scott!

Great videos thank you. Iis the daily 10.4 stochastic available in trading view? There's a 'stochastic' indicator but not sure what the K & D inputs should be? Many thanks in advance if you can help?
@RichardMoglen4 жыл бұрын
Yes it's available. K is 10 and D is 4. Then you can add a 4 period moving average to that which is the signal line

@@markj-uk Thanks Mark. If you search in indicators and enter stochastic it should automatically give you a k=14, d=3, smooth=3. Change those values to 10,4,4 if you want the same parameters that I use.

I recently found you, appreciate your posts, and am learning a lot. Could you clarify the difference between reviewing the top 400 from your fundamentals list in TC-2000 and then your next step reviewing the top 100 from the fundamentals list in TC-2000? You said among the 400 candidates, you narrow them with your criteria (e.g., price > 12, yellow band, Stochastic 10.4 < 80) and look for 1 of 6 setups. You then go back and review the top 100 from your fundamentals list in TC-2000. Other than the number of setup patterns you're looking for (5 versus 6), is there anything different you're looking for between the list of 400 and list of 100? Do you find that many of the top 100 do not make the cut of your criteria when reviewing the top 400 (i.e., price > 12, yellow band, etc.)? Otherwise, it seems redundant reviewing the 100 after already reviewing them as part of the 400. No offense intended in my question, and I apologize if I missed something.
@RichardMoglen4 жыл бұрын
Hi Eric good question. I look for the same exact setups the same time through. In a way it is meant to be redundant. The top 100 stocks contain the true leaders and I want to make sure I don't miss a setup just because it doesn't completely meet my criteria. Also looking at these top stocks each week gives me a sense of how the market is. If there is a lot of potential setups that will show in the charts and most likely lead to a good week. No offense taken its a fair question.

Thanks Richard, another great video. When you narrow your wachlist every weekend to 15, do you mainly stick to only watching or potentially trading those 15 stocks? A problem that I have is I will have 10-20 top stocks for the following week, then get distracted and overwhelmed with countless new stocks and setups that pop up throughout the week mainly from the traders I follow on twitter.
@RichardMoglen4 жыл бұрын
Great question Cris. I try to focus on only those 15. Hopefully on the weekend I have done enough work to consider those new setups emerging. FOMO is real though I understand and I get it. I have a general rules section that I will cover at the end. One of them is to never trade a stock Idea on twitter without checking its rank on my list, its marketsmith fundamentals to make sure it fits a true market leader profile and of course it has to match one of my setups. It's okay to get ideas from twitter but don't trade them unless they meet your rules.
