Afrer being seriously iatrogenicly harmed by The NHS,l wanted to improve my health,so gradually came off all prescibed medication, against medical advice, the last one being morphine, which l stopped earlier this year. Then,l decided to improve my diet, and began buying most of my food from my local farm shop.l have also started to drink raw milk.l now use natural remedies and already l am feeling a lot better.l was being poisoned by doctors for decades, and became very ill,l didnt think l would make it to the age l am now,72,and l honestly beleive that if l hadnt made these changes, that l wouldnt be here now.I also realised how much we have been lied to about almost everything, and, although l am classed as vulnerable,l did not take the covid jab and was suspicious of the whole thing right from the start.l also got rid of my TV set a few years ago,so l am immune from the propaganda and brainwashing.

@@ambiencelectronica that’s right, but this only can be achieved when produce is grown organically, these farmers are not growing organically, only a few, small set farms/growers can confirm that they produce is organic, when majority of produce in these farm shops is not, it’s just the same veg that they supply to supermarkets, but now they want 3/4x higher price for it just because it’s in farm shop.

So now you are prepared to pay x3/4 times more for the same quality produce, or you believe they will grow organically specially for you? Ask them, why their produce is so expensive if that is the same produce that goes to supermarkets, why now they are charging working people that much for not even organic produce? We bought couple times fresh produce from farm shop, where vegetables were full of nitrates when tested. They are all up for profits, I don’t see them as do-gooders, unfortunately

...And never forget the health and wellbeing of the animals themselves, that provide us with their meat is of paramount importance too. These creatures deserve to be cherished and allowed to live a content and calm a life as possible while they are alive. They must be appreciated as fellow, sentient creatures too. Also, abattoirs need to be very local, better still, humane staughter done on the farm to keep their stress levels at a minimum. It broke my heart to see how the poor creatures were treated when being transported by callous, unhuman thugs. Stress and human unkindness as well as terrible husbandry badly affects the quality of milk and meat from the poor creatures too. Supermarkets don't care of course, but I do.

I liatened to an interview with a pig farmer from Besancon on the French/ Swiss border. This farmer was from a family of pig farmers and raised his pigs according to the highest permaculture/ organic standards, yet customers did not go to him. Customers would ask supermarkets for produce like his, yet the supermarkets operated like a closed shop, using their own suppliers. He was desperate for custom, did everything as he should but that was his situation.

I really cannot remember being ill as a child, yet the government has convinced the frightened ones that raw milk can make you seriously ill or even kill you. It's very, very much the opposite. Now at 65, I still drink raw milk to this day, and I've never been ill off it yet.

@@Neerod49 for most of people there will be no difference how it tastes, if they can’t afford it, we seem speaking in different languages… My point is that first we need to agree with these farmers, that if they want people’s support, they must agree to set affordable prices for all for their produce. But what I see is that people are just jumping in this bandwagon when most of them can’t even afford it in reality, so strange this. Also, in most farm shops we have been, we didn’t find much produce that is actually organic, I am talking about fruit and vegetables, - it’s the same produce that is in Sainsburys or Tesco, so why are they selling it in farm shops 3/4 x dearer? If they now all want to sell in farm shops, they must grow organically and to be able to confirm/prove that. We’ve got an indicator that shows nitrates and other chemicals in fruit and veg, - so in these shops most of those were indicated high levels of nitrates and other. Are you getting my point now?

It works out cheaper to buy a weeks food than buying enough rubbishy chemically manufactured food to cover 3 meals a day for a week! I like this Food Hub initiative. I rarely go to supermarkets. A lot of farmers offer online delivery services, so I usually buy my meat & fish monthly. I get my veg from local farm stalls or markets. Cook everything from scratch. I have always said that the reason that there is so much Bowel & Stomach cancer is down to the chemical/packet foods sold in supermarkets. These diseases weren't hardly heard of decades ago.

Once the supermarkets capture a farmer they bully the farmer into adulterating the product.

Brilliant to see this happening, and I hope there are some outlets in Scotland on the list soon. I buy less than 5% of my food from supermarkets now - the quality has plummeted, and prices for some goods are higher than in independent and organic shops. I'm happy to see that my niece, in her 20s, also rarely buys from supermarkets and cooks a lot of her own food - even makes her own bread. There is hope for the next generation!

Our milkman delivered by horse and cart, the dairy shop was just up the road and most fathers had a vegetable patch in the garden or an allotment. We had meat from the butcher fish from the fishmonger and more vegetables / from the green grocer. There were no supermarkets, all meals were prepared from scratch. My father passed away ‘97 but was still growing veg up to a few months before he passed away.

5 mins into the conversation and the whole concept is clearly explained. Excellent. Now where does the listeners of the show (the public) go after this point ? Who would not want a piece of this ? It's a no brainer ! Healthier, even cheaper food. But this is nothing new, and it works. Few people today remember the fifties and how the Co-op worked, In the fifties very few hard up working class shopped anywhere else because the more upmarket shops couldn't compete on price or quality. Sadly the general public were enticed away from the Co-operative Wholesale Society ( CWS ) and along came the Walmarts, Tesco's etal. The Co-op lost its original direction and by the late sixties they became just another corporate parasite. If people don't know or care about the history of where their food comes from then they have no future. I wish I could chat off the record with the bowler hat man and introduce him to a certain Canadian guy who has perfected the solution.

People must also scrutinise the ethics of some organic suppliers, particularly as some well known brands advocate supporting Extinction rebellion, Chris packham, Net Zero/ CO2/ climate change agenda - the lunatic fringe of the climate cult; the very thing that is crippling other farmers. Don't be fooled by middlemen who charge high prices while paying a small amount to the actual farmers. Further, some organic famers advertise their produce without stating that much of it is grown abroad.
