This is another total gem from George. What a talent. How did four guys of astonishing abilities just get together? Magical....
@jasonmckie44023 жыл бұрын
Four guys with astonishing abilities didn't just get together. when they formed the boys weren't extremely great, they were good enough to get gigs but not the band we all know. They accepted a gig from a really bad character who basically rode the boys into the ground in Hamburg, they were playing day and night for him putting in hours on their instruments most guys their age would never log. When they returned from Hamburg reforged by a merciless, relentless tour, they were a different band than when they left.

George Harrisons expertise and brilliance was the fact he was so understated in what he did, he made it look effortlessly easy....a true rocknroll icon.
@voraciousreader33413 жыл бұрын
If you want to hear how understated he was, listen to the Beatles’ songs with 3 part harmony, and try to hear George singing the middle part. John and Paul have such distinctive voices that their top and bottom parts-even when they cross-are so easy to hear, but when I’ve tried to find George and follow his line, it can turn my brain inside out. The one that really illustrates what I’m talking about is “Because” with isolated vocals, which is the first track on “Love.” It’s much easier to hear George, but really difficult to sing with him!
@mattd25033 жыл бұрын
That is so true… his song writing is so simple, yet complex.. I just learned his song and” I love her “ genius how it’s put together simple but complex ..and how about “While my guitar gently weeps “ so underrated …

It’s crazy to think that three brilliant and prolific songwriters all found each other, were in one of the greatest groups in history, and then had major success individually after the group broke up. at least George was able to give us lots of music. John being murdered was the real tragedy because I know they would have gotten back together at least once more in the 80s. John had apparently talked about it with people in the weeks before passing. He had just started to reconcile with Paul too. George and Ringo were already contributing to John's comeback, so you know if John had told those guys let's get the Beatles back together one more time for an album or one more tour, they would have probably done it. But as Ringo and George said, once John was killed, there couldn't have been a way for them to get together again. It's only the Beatles with the 4 of them. I wish John had never met Yoko more than anything. Imagine how things would have probably turned out had he never mehhgg

I have had to listen to this video again. Its one of the most beautiful songs that GH ever produced. The music takes me back to those wonderful years as well. Its much better than the rubbish these so called stars produce today. GH was I think cooked up between Paul and John. He was allowed to produce his own songs or tracks but it seems he was always squeezed out due to Paul and John hogging their own tracks to put on records. You need to listen to the words of this and many more of GH to understand what he was singing about. You can easily hear the words. Not like the groups who produce rubbish and think they have produced a fabulous song when in fact compared to GH was in fact total rubbish. GH had written plenty more songs which he published many years after the Fab 4 were finished. Then his hits flowed out continously. In fact he produced much better tracks than the Beatles did in their own right. Once again thank you for uploading such a fabulous video of one of the greatest musicians who ever lived.
