Guy's I really appreciate that you show the technical climbing in this video. Many other youtuber's focus on the descending and leave out showing the skill and intricacy it takes to make hard techy climbs. Keep up the great work...

Glad you dug it Scott! That part is my favorite man. I just love the challenge of those tech areas, especially when they are in a foreign location. Riding is cerebral for Rob and I, this sort of trail is right up our alley. Now, about you calling me a KZbinr...;)

You guys tore that up, I was thinking about doing BLT to Noble but I think I need some more miles under my belt before I venture into that gnarly rock garden. I hope I can attend one or more of your classes in the near future. Really enjoyed this one, especially the easy going camaraderie you two have.

Thanks Gerry! I'm happy to have gotten some time in on trails like this. The only knock I've seen on the Delano is that it gets a bit overwhelmed on "long, sustained rough stuff." It seems to be working well for me. I'd love to get some riding under my belt in Albuquerque at some point. What specific trails do you recommend?

@@richdrewtherideseries Santa Cruz! Wilder Ranch, Soquel Demo, Skyline to Sea Trail, Gazos Creek Road, Chalks Road and for the most beautiful mellow country road ride you'll ever do, park somewhere near/past Delaveaga golf course on *Branciforte Dr,* ride up *Branciforte Dr* out of town about 4 miles, veer _Right_ at the *Y* onto *Mt View* then in 9/10 mile turn _Right_ on to *_N Rodeo Gulch Rd_* and *CLIMB LIKE A MUTHA!* There are a few great vista points when you get near the top, then sit back and take it in for the next 3 easy gorgeous miles. The whole ride on a Spring day is *_world class_* natural beauty. When I hit the edge of the city I like to turn around and ride back ~8 miles (I park at the campground a mile past Delaveaga) but if your day is getting a bit long you can shoot straight through town (Soquel Dr) about 3 fast city miles from the golf course back to your car - or shuttle it. I hope you guys can plan 3-5 days there: _You'll want to_ & you'll need to.

That route is locally known as the elboN trail. People usually take the out before Stairway and continue up the road but there are several other 'outs' on that route to continue your climb to Penny Pines. I prefer Indian creek as my 'up' trail.
@RobDavis1966 Жыл бұрын
I haven't ridden Noble Canyon in 30 years back when I lived in SD. Looks like a completely different trail. If we were feeling masochistic we would ride up and down the trail, but usually rode up the fire road and then down. All on hardtails with Mag21's at best. it was such a different world.
